Nagging and chronic injuries are part of the game as we stress our muscles and joints so much.

I've endured the back issues like you from the squatting and DL and basically just had to eat humble pie and alter training for a while until the pain subsided a bit. Had to sit differently, sleep different etc and exercise different. Once I started to feel better, I returned to these exercise but basically used the knowledge and experience I had gained to look like a pussy in the gym for a bit...squatting and DL with 135 for reps to re intro the muscles and my body to the movement and really go slow...like way too slow in our mind...and work up as it felt better in small increments. You want to give er but you start to think about the potential injury and the pain returning. So far all has gone well and getting sets in both over 400 again but again...you want to throw another big pie on and you feel you could just crush it...the voice of reason cuts in. I don't intend on trying to increase weight for some time...just reps and we'll see how it goes.

Amazing thing is I feel better than ever in the back..no nagging pain, sleeping better etc...

Also tore tricep off but that is a diff story as they cut you, re-attach and you rehab it to the best you can but never the same...I have 2 arms that look different as I thought I was smarter than physio etc and weight training would re-hab me...dumb, dumb, dumb..if i had that one over I would have done all the physio as recommended, did some gh at same time and moved slowly thru the process...next time..LOL

Hang in there and let ur body heal....humbling but have to do it bro.
The back is a big one because it does take you out of so many different things . Personaly I'm just waiting to see what this last CT has to offer but I don't think I will be back over 500 any time soon / if ever

Sounds to me like you did very well with rehab on your back. How long did it take you to get over 400 and what was your best lift before your injury.

Crazy with your tri . I know what you mean with the physio as I've had that feeling before too ( him not knowing as much ) but then I remember it's like starting all over again with the muscle ( and not the brain ) as it has to learn how to be used again.
