I just wanted to bring up injuries with the lifters here. It is something we all go through and some are worst then others
Are you guys in pain all the time with the little nagging injuries or do you / have you had some big stuff that has put you out of the gym and your competitions awhile ?
What have you had and what have you done to be able to make a come back?
Currently I'm facing Bulged discs (lower back) decompression, degeneration to my discs plus some arthritis.
Also my left knee with a torn acl and some arthritis.
My shoulders are always a mess with scar tissue (old and deep) that basically hurts all the time while benching.
Not too much I can do about this - Currently seeing a chiro for my back in hopes that he will help with the decompression and for my shoulders with some ART, also getting lots of deep tissue work down
I do have an appointment coming up soon so I can find out what options I have with my knee.
I'm just curious to see what others have gone through and have you have over come it to get back into the gym or have you had to adjust your training to it?
Over all health is always my main concern ,but then again the love of lifting heavy shit is still there which makes it hard to adjust to this - trying to go bench only so I can still go heavy , but then again, how long will my shoulders last
Is it cross fit time?
