    Default Take a week off?

ive been trainning for 4 or 5 months now with only 2 days off per week is it a good Idea to take a week or two off? I really dont want to as my fat loss is really picking up now but also I started doing behind the head wide grip chins and then my shoulder started making a popinng sound. Then it started popping on my wide grip front lat pull downs too. Now its even is tender on chest day. Im thinking a week or 2 off might help and maybe just do some HITT on the eliptical for a while.

I take time off if I and my body feels the need. I thinking if your young and your nutrition is on track you should be fine.

I bet you would come back stronger with some much needed rest.

Every 12 weeks I take 1 week off but eat very clean and focus on stretching and foam rolling.....and every 6 weeks I have a very high rep light weight week to give the joints a break....I have chronic bad knees/shoulders

not really 6+ weeks off then and 6+ weeks is a tad much imo unless your recovering from an injury.

Unless it's a forced break due to an injury I seldom if ever take time off from the gym, so all in after over 30 years training I've probably taken 6 months off. Oh and you've hurt you rotator cuff so you had best work on rehabbing it or it's only going to get worse and eventually you won't be able to train upper body at all.
