I would see a DR and ask for a referral for an Ultrasound to be absolutely sure...the ultrasound will show any tear and you can then work on specific treatments...without knowing everything else is guess work at best. Also a partial tear may not bleed much at all...i had more than a 50% tear and no bleeding was detectable so that is not a true indication of the severity of injury...you also have a max of about 4-5 weeks to repair it surgically after that the tendon will lose too much elasticity for repair.

Yeah, it's almost better to have a complete tear because at least then they'll speed up the surgery wait time. If a guy is still training or he can still do daily tasks then he'll be put on the back burner for surgery.
