Hey Todd, If I saw the pics of the competitors i could much more easily give an accurate assesment as i forget alot. I do remember thinking that abdul would win. I remmber thinking he would be close. I remeber thinking that the celis guy had the best build but does not even come in with provincial level definition. He would easily have won had he dieted for another month. Celis shape is so good that i expected him to place about 3rd. AS for urself I was picking u to finish ini the exact spot that u finsihed in both classes. The call outs make it easy as if ur not in the first callout u cant be in the first callout placings. Really ur weakness would be legs, just not enough mass and sweep. Check out celis in comparison. And definitiuon could still improve even though u were not far off being shreded. If I were steve m.. Id just be happy as hell that I won my class and forget the other class. It really could flip flop so easy cus ur picking out completely different bodies. I rembmer not liking his posing. He posed like old school and never seemed to get into it. Kinda like the classical posing style from back in the day. Id compare it to me going on the beach and seeing some girls walk by and thinking one girl was the hotest and then when they walk back to their towels 20 minutes later another girl stood out more. Its really just to close and too completely diff. physiques to be able to constantly placve everyone the same. im sure a diff set of judges would have had diff placings as well. Its not like powerlifting where its easy to see who wins its more liek a beauty pageant.

I'm 5'8 on a good day and I'm just a hair taller than tony, so he's 5'7" and change. Tony was 100% second place at the show, he wasn't a close 3rd or 4th, definitely 2nd. Martin was 100% first as well. Tony is blessed with a great set of wheels and I actually think his looked fuller and rounder than Martin's, but conditioning wise they were pretty close. Tony held his own in the back poses with him too, but the muscle maturity from the front really showed on Martin, especially his Jay Cutler'ish chest, which is also Tony's week spot. Tony's just a kid, if he stays consistant he's gonna be a machine by his late 20's. No shame at all in placing 2nd to an IFBB Pro.
Also, NA's and Canadian's are 225 cut off for HW, regional and provincials are 220.

The cut off for Supers has flip flopped at Nationals a few times, from 220-225. They have moved it around. The problem is that the US uses 225lb, while the rest of the world uses 100kg (220lbs).

I guess they are using 225lb pretty consistently now.

Be happy and move forward. Thats precisely what I've decided to do. I realized my posing was a bit off and thankfully that's something that is relatively easy to fix. There were so many time constraints and personal challenges unrelated to bodybuilding during my prep this year that the energy and time for proper posing prep did lack.
Thanks for the advice and observations

i agree with Bigguns21, Toney is like 2 inches or so shorter than me im like 5'9 and some. I think at like 210-215 hell be really complete as long as he fills up where he needs to.
