A time released combination of 7 high quality proteins, Protein Stack™ represents the latest advancement in long duration, sustained release protein supplements. This strategic combination of seven high quality proteins, each with it’s own unique digestion and entry rate, has been combined with two additional macro nutrient blends with the intention of further prolonging and supporting protein availability.
The first is a low glycemic fiber complex featuring inulin, apple pectin and oat fibre. Fibre slows gastric emptying and allows for a longer and more gradual absorption opportunity (1). The second is a blend of omega rich fats that includes MCT’s, CLA, Flax Seed oil and Lecithin. The effect of these fats, most notably on stabilizing blood sugar levels and moderating the digestive process, have been well documented (2).
By creating this sustained released effect, Protein Stack™ provides a positive nitrogen balance for a much longer duration than traditional protein supplements. This in turn supports more rapid muscle growth and tissue repair and helps to establish an anti catabolic environment especially between meals and during the night.
