I thought i'd post this for people to try if you're looking for a quick way to get your injections done. I find doing it this way also heats the stopper to making it less brittle, and i've never had pieces break off in the vial, also it's easier to pass the pin through the stopper and I don't change the pin after drawing it's still plenty sharp :) Makes drawing thick oils through 25guage easy.

It's pretty simple. Microwave a cup of hot water until it's boiling. Sit your vial in the water (not underwater). Cover the cup and let it sit for a minute. The steam will warm up the rubber stopper. Take it out, swab the stopper and your injection site and you're off. You'll notice there's alot less bubbles this way too. Oil will flow nice and smooth, not alot of pressure needed, less pain.

Why are people complicating this:

1) Withdraw oil into syringe.

2) While changing the needle for a new one, turn on the hot water tap.

3) Put the syringe under hot water at a 45 degree angle with a sheathed needle pointing toward the ceiling. Leave under water for 10 seconds.

4) Inject.

Nothing wrong with posting up another way of doing things. Bit involved for me though, i just put some hot water in the sink, put the vials in and go and have my shower. Oil is nice and warm when i get out.

I hear a electric heating pad works great too.

I guess the point I was trying to make is this way the steam heats the rubber stopper, making it less brittle (no pieces break off in the vial) and you can get away without switching pins after drawing.
