ah crap, possible infection?

Im about 5 weeks in...

Took a shot in the left ass cheek two days ago and the son bitch has swelled up the size of my fist... Its real sensitive to a point where its a pain to get in and out of my car.... god forbid my girlfriend smacks my ass, I'd probably pass out.

Usually when I inject, about 95% of the time I'll get a tiny bump at the injection site for a couple days.,, but this time, its swelled up pretty bad, turning red, and giving off a bit of heat (to be honest, all my injection sites give off some heat). I think its a result of injecting in the same spot too quickly... I usually rotate 4 spots but this time I happened to shoot the same cheek twice in 6 days.

Put a heatpad on my bed in hopes of it helping a bit, but not much luck. Been taking some medication incase its an infection as well. Have yet to see a doctor (been 2 days), but if it doesnt start getting better soon, im off to the doc...

My best description of the site would be it feels like someones surgically placed an implant in my ass (cause it feels somewhat hard like an implant) buts tender as hell.

Any advice/comments, greatly appreciated

when this happens to me i put heat on it 15 minutes at a time. as much as i can , and take some advil should help abit.

for the heat, either take a hot bath, or get something you can put in the microwave ( a moist hot cloth )


but if its not getting better go see a doc asap.

Wasnt my 1st time, wasnt a new vial, and im pretty careful while injecting - I try my best to use common sense and the basic rules of injecting...

i have this 6" x 6" liquid cloth type deal that you can freeze or heat.. i put that in the microwave for 45 seconds and it is perfect for an injection site.. i would definintely recommend them

when I inject or have my wife inject me I as a rule 1 minute per cc to inject, I believe that this gives the muscle the time and opportunity to better absord the compound

Watch it, and look for puss, inflammation, redness, heat, and fever.

Pain happens, and I have been completely wanting to ****ing cry in pain before, unable to sleep even from crashing gear, and bad gear.

The lump is alarming, so make sure it doesnt get bigger

do not inject there for a looooong time.

do cardio

heat pad

massage it of you can with out keeling over from pain



try to give yourself a couple weeks between jabs if you can, and warm the gear before jabbing. Do not go so fast either.

Hey bro, it sounds like you've got a bit of an infection. Sometimes I get infections, never had an abscess though. I've been to the Dr. on 2 seperate occassions over the last 7 years, today being the second time actually. I give it 5-6 days to heal up on it's own as sometimes injections hurt for whatever reason. If it doesn't show any significant healing by the end of 1 week, then I would highly suggest seeing a Dr.

On both occassions, the walkin clinic I have gone to has told me to go to the hospital the next time (which I did the first time, but not the second). They will give you antibiotics, which should clear up the infection. If it doesn't within the first few days, they will suggest you return to the hospital asap.

All this ^^^^ especially watch for a fever... the site is badly inflamed and you dont want an infection. You dont want to end up at the hospital draining it.

bro had a similar thing happen to me accompanied by a very high fever turned out i had a infection between the skin and muscle and had home care intervenious for 5 days id say see a doc before it gets worse or if you see any signs of a fever imo.

My body hates shots, I hate solvents, I cannot get a "good" injection regardless of the gear. HG or UGL, doesn't mater.. I have had welts the size of tennis balls on my ass. Redness, heat, inflammation are all NORMAL if your body does not handle BA well.. You are injecting a foreign substance into your body. ( Yes, even Test, your body will react as if it is a foreign substance ) You will release histamines, and most likely as said above your body will form a "cusp" around the shot and stop it from spreading (A sterile Abscess ) Meaning, your body is doing what it should when it perceives a threat.

The only time you should be concerned is if there is red streaking or a fever. Take a sharpie and draw a circle around the bump. Watch it for the next few days and look for any streaking. Watch for a fever. If neither are present then don't sweat it and ride it out with some Advil and a heating pad

Infections don't happen that fast, I don't care what anyone says. 2 days later it's swelled up and is painful? Any number of reasons can cause that...

Injecting twice in 6 days in the same spot is most likely the cause. I found even once every week in one spot could sometimes cause flare ups like that. Usually had at least some swelling, pain, heat, even itchiness when the oil leaked out into subq. It happens. It should be better in a week or so.

Try to limit each injection spots at the most once a week.

When i was a hardcore injector,
I kept a bottle of Cephalexin handy.
You can get it from Aquarium shops (FishFlex is a brandname)
as a treatment for bacterial infections in fish.
Its a strong antibiotic, often the same one they would
give you if you went to the emergency room with an infection.
250mg twice a day for a week will cure the most stubborn infections.
