I s it normal after a training session to feel as if u want to toss ur cookies?? Some days I feel like this and some i don't...and i eat the same thing. So why are some days different than others? Perhaps I worked harder...maybe blood sugar levels dropped???? I always bring something to snack on right after-since I have quit a drive home. Any thoughts?? I obviously would love to avoid that feeling......:)

Yes it is normal to be hungry after a workout.Your body is screaming for food to repair itself. What most people here do is have a shake consisiting of a sugar sourse(usually dextrose) and some protein and drink it right after. This is a good way to repair and replenish your muscles with out it being stored as fat.Only do this after a weight training session..not cardio. You can maybe start off with 30grams of dextrose(gatorade powder) and 20 grams of protein. In a pinch i guess you can have a protein bar(i would advise againts it but in a pinch maybe)..but just make sure it has preotein and carbs in it only. After that,in about an hour or so,have a well balanced meal:).I hope that helps!

^ bro, your not reading posts again, she wants to know if its normal to want to puke after training not get hungry..

I had this problem a while back and i found it was due to not resting enough after i eat before training, i would go and train 45mins after i eat but that was not long enough, i upped it to 2 hours and i was fine.

ohhh shit,my bad.I completely took this post the wrong way.I thought she was hungry for cookies..loll

Soemtimes it depends what time your last meal was and what you ate.If you eat a minimum of an hour before(protein and complexe carbs) then you should be fine. And yes, sometimes we push ourselves very hard and feel sick afterwards. This happens to me especiakly when doing legs and back

Again, sorry for the bad post before...

for me I get like this when I tap my CNS too hard.

Or, I've jammed some ephies and caffeine too close to a workout

hmmm-perhaps I am going to long between eating and then going to train-would this matter to that extent?? I also do push myself pretty hard somedays...maybe more than others. I will take what everyone kindly advised into account and try and figure it out-it could be a combination of things for me according to the above comments....we'll see what tomorrow brings-or hopefully doesn't-eeek, haha-thanks for the help-p.s rickyboy36-I still want my weighted hula-hoop-l.o.l!! WonderWoman- this might sound odd, but maybe your PH balance is off inside of your stomach.. i had issues with this not too long ago.. take some probiotic supplements as this may help

I only get that on leg day and even though my workouts are not heavy as of late due to my cut, ugh... I do intense workouts so the pewk factor is there. Today I did some V sets for 120 reps x 3 followed by some sldls with sumo squats supers PS back squats to begin with

Beside my quads are full of blood and jacked to the touch, I wanted to hurl and felt nauseous AWESOME!

Otherwise I usually have plenty of fuel to not make me toss any cookie then again I can't have any :(

I rarely do a cookie either, I ask the daughter who bakes to hide them..

I had that feeling last night. I ate an average supper at 5:30. Salmon and grilled veggies. Then at 6:30 I did Zumba. after it I did a light leg work out and abs.

On the way home I wanted to puke.

I'm not one who sweats much..but after Zumba I am dripping with sweat baby. Like I just did a hot 25 yr old in a tropical climate.

The glycogen reserves are nill at that point.

This def. does not sound odd to me. I'm glad u figured out ur issues with ur PH Balance-as these things can get frustarting unsolved. Everybody is so unique and it def. is trial and error to figure out what makes ur body tick or not. Totally appreciate this piece of advice!!

i would see a doctor and have some blood-work done

Be safe I get that way after to much cardio

But i smoke 2-3 cigars a day so that doesn't help

you might have issues with your blood sugar

good luck
