For a totally unrelated reason I ****ing despise those tight under armour shirts. They look gay. Also, why is it such a taboo to wear a wife beater at golds, hell I wear them at world health everyone does, but at golds I get peep'd on with hateful eyes like I'm walking around with a dead body tied to my waist, and my buddy is almost petrified to wear one and he's decently jacked and golds is his main gym. ****.

Just a rant, but what is your most hated thing that people wear to the gym?

I can't stand it when people wear clothes that are more expensive than their street clothes to get all sweaty in. So basically the under armour from head to toe kind of deal... course I'm kinda being hypocritical... I wear a pair of their shorts... but right now they're covered in tacky from ***** stones.

Guys who wear any shorts or pants halfway down their hip, showing their boxer's off each time they do chinups. Pull your pants up godamnit, its not the hood. Other then that everything's peachy.

Really ?? The Golds out here are different then. One of them is FULL of monster men ( some of the biggest in town ) ALL the girls are fit.. Not a fat chick in sight. Everyone is in wife beater's and the girls in sports bra's... Its pretty intimidating cause everyone is in great shape. Doesn't bother me altho :D

Guys that wear the same clothes every time they workout and don't wash them. I really don't notice what other people are wearing but when you can smell them across the gym it starts effecting your workout.

Also lately I've noticed a rediculously skinny asian kid who wears a wool knit toque. I think it has a pom-pom on top and those long thick strings that hang down on either side. I thought only girls wore those stupid looking hats.

I can't understand why people here are so obsessed with gym fashion.
I could not give a shit what the all the skinny fags are wearing at the gym, I don't even see them. they could all wear pink tutus and I still wouldn't care at all. they are nothing to me.

I have seen every kind of outfit imaginable at the gym, and I might have snickered under my breath once or twice at some of them, but ultimately I don't care. they can wear whatever they want to wear.

So, my question is, why do you care so much about what a bunch of skinny fags wear to the gym?

I agree. I don't really give a shit what anyone wears. What's the big deal about Tap out shirts? I don't have one, but they look good. I wear a Fox Jursey quite often, because I like downhill mountain biking. As long as there are popular brands, people are going to wear them. Under Armour shirts are fine if you have the physique to pull it off but if you are fat or have a big gut, you shouldn't wear it. I have a nice muscular build, but I don't think I would ever wear one as a shirt only. I wear Under Armour shirts and tights under my Mountain biking gear as it keeps the sweat down.

It's called freedom of choice, get used to it. Remember back in the 90's when it was popular to wear gator gear?? All of the old schooler's know exactly what I'm talking about.

On a side note...this is the problem with Under Armour. The way the advertise their clothing, give the image that if you wear their shirts, you will look like an NFL running back...when in fact, most people look like a CFL lineman.

there have always beeen these kinds of people in gyms, and there always will be. I just don't see why you would let it get you pissed off.

you are allowing these punks to have an effect on you, If they can affect how you feel, even a little bit, then you are letting them have a power over you.

why should some skinny punk, whom you don't even know, effect your mood.
you should be in control of your emotions, don't let strangers control them.

teeny people in teeny clothes acting huge don't make you angry, YOU make
YOURSELF angry when you see them.

I really don't notice to much weird fashion at the gym lately just the usual but I've always had trouble understanding 2 things; how do guys workout with baseball caps on? its not uncommon either I see someone at the gym benching with a ball cap on at least once a week and its not always the same people or anything.

Also, how the hell do girls workout while wearing makeup, is it just me or are we all safe to assume girls that wear makeup at the gym are just looking to be hit on?

I think he means people wearing hats backwards...how do you bench like that?

Not that it matters...turn it around, then turmn it back when your done. Wear it the way you like and don't worry about the "insecure' people around you.

Look at the shit guys were wearing at Gold's in venice back in the day...NOONE would be caught dead in that these days...

but they all respected each other...not like today.

Did a search and saw the same site you posted macka. They have some nice looking regular looking track pants I`d wear. I haven`t bought shorts for years now. The shorts today look like pants that are too short for you. Especially that capri shit. Guess I`m getting old, but the one`s I`d wear would cut right above the knee. They show the quads much better. Would not wear the shorts of today because my calves absolutely suck and there is no way I`m wearing shorts thant display weak calves but don`t show my upper leg area. Synthol here I come.

I don't care....I usually notice the big dude wearing a sweatshirt and pants; cause I know he's there for one reason. And, that's too workout...not to impress! Thats sexy!

Unfortunately for most men...I'm not one to look at....I wear yoga pants; sure...but usually a t-shirt.
It's irritating to workout when some are learing...distracts me. So, I try to get the least attention as possible.

I share equal way of thinking as some of you here.
I don't care what others wear, what really pisses me off to no END, is the stench!! I mean WTF take a shower, and don't wear the same freakking shirt/pants for 30 days before you go wash them out.

I hate bad smell at the gym. There is workout smell, and there is OLD skunky "I don't wash my clothes regularly" smell.

Aside from that, there is a guy at the O.A.C. (my old place of 5 years--I have now moved clubs)--this guys is really stuck in the 60s 70s OMG. I have to admit, he is in his 60s, ok shape, and has more money than God I think.....the guy is an icon in Ottawa. I guess what he lacks in gym style, he makes in the 200k car that he drives :D :D

I am a gym nut, I always like to sport good looking shoes, shorts, shirts, tank tops....and yes Hockey Monster, my shoes have little lights on the side of them hahahahah

i've also noticed certain ethnic groups who seem to be oblivious to some of the wonders of the modern world like say.....deodorant/anti perspirant!!

it's like their in a fuk'n competition to see who can abstain the longest before using soap and water

Oh ****, tell me about it! I once trained at a gym called fit for life and it was ****ing bad.

dude, the place i used to work at was a parts factory with the "communal" bathroom set-up. this one smelly bastard would drop a curry shit after lunch then walk out of the bathroom like nothing happened , leaving a thick vapor trail of about 100 feet with people gagging left and right in it's wake!

There's one character at my gym who wears like 3 layers of shirts to try and look bigger, elbow wraps, gloves, and his shades. and i hate when guys roll in old work clothes that reak

You woulda hated me a couple years ago... i used to train at a fairly run down gym and would train in my work clothes all the time that were constantly covered in crap.... I found it pretty funny tho, don't do it anymore, now I just dress poorly.

i hate the ppl who wear hoodys and shave there heads and work out together its like a cult

My buddy and I wear sweaters and have buzzed heads (not shaved). Does that count? lol

I don't really get pissed off at what people wear. But one time this older guy came in wearing neon swim trunks (from the 80's), socks pulled up to his knees and best of all..... a FANNY PACK (neon green). I don't think he was right in the head so no one really gave him a hard time though.

Some arab would only wear his boxer shorts at a gym I would attend occasionally. Needless to say I really didn't want to sit on any benches, but the supervisors should probably have told him to politely "get the fuk out".

One turkish guy stunk real bad and the staff went and talked to him as there were a tonne of JAP's who know how to bitch and whine. Thing is the guy claimed to use deodorant... nasty. Think of those fat hairy guys in the turkish baths and this guy was it. We left soon afterward, too much club attitude in that "gym"

What really grosses me out and this happens alot is when someone is wearing a tank top and uses the preacher bench without a towel. So tank tops are on my "your on notice" list.

Years ago in Kamloops there was this hardcore gym, the place was awesome! Whenever i was in town i'd just go in with my jeans, cowboy boots, it didn't matter what. AC/DC would be cranked, dust all over the floor, the machines were shit but the DB went to 150lb. if memory serves. No one cared what you were wearing as long as you were serious about lifting. BJ's in Calagary is the only gym that has come close to that atmosphere.

You'd have fit right in bro!!

I just hate most people in the gym ... not actually, in reality I don't care either, and I'm just happy their getting some exercise... but when I head in there, I hate them and they hate me... It just gets me in the mindset I need to be to do my best lifting. I actually really enjoy it.

I really don’t pay a lot attention to anyone in the gym – there’s a lot of jealously and competition among the members.

I’m not the best dresser (loose clothing and simple running shoes or power lifting shoes) nor I give a shit – the gym is a
simply a place for me to do my work(out) and get it over with ASAP - nothing more.

One thing that really annoys me is smelly clothes that haven’t been washed in 5 years - I mean WTF?
