I myself am a hardcore bodybuilder but have a lot of buddies that are more into fitness. They train but not as heavy, not as intense but like to look good. Smaller overall but cut and hard.

How about the rest of you, are you more of a bodybuilder or a fitness buff?:hu

For me it has always been performance based, my goal was to be able to make the quickest move of the ball and manhandle offensive lineman. However now that that part of my life is over i guess i am actually trying to decide that right now. I like being big, but i actually find it extremely hard on the joints that i have damaged over the years, so i might just fall into the fitness category.

Of course i need to get rid of this gut first, cause right now it looks like i am primarily into donuts!

Bodybuilding. Not even strength so much, just lifting weights and getting bigger.

Given the bb'ing subculture I guess I would fall into the fitness category. Been big in my past so now I'm in my mid-30's after a few years off I just like to have decent size but ripped to the bone. The average public though would put me into the bb'ing category. Especially when I travel to the carribean I'm stared at constantly, wonder what they would do if they saw a bb'er ripped...
In regular clothes you could tell i'm in shape but not a bb'er per se.

I've always been into looking good as my #1 goal but have been sidetracked into strength here and there and got punished for it. Got into the high 470's with single rep trap bar deadlifts and still have to make trips to the chiropractor to fix the back that when it goes out causes impingement in the arms leading directly to tendonitis. great....

My goal is to be around 165 6-7%bf at 5'7". Think about how many ripped people do you see in life?

Bodybuilding...care less about strength and endurance and athletic perfromance. More interested in building an appealing physique and spending a lot of time in the sport.

both. I strive for size, and definition, yet have a strong drive for fitness. At the cost of muscle I run a lot, and do more intense cardio then is considered normal for a BB'er.

So both. I could run a half marathon in a couple weeks if I wanted, and can press 1.5 times my body weight, and by this fall am hoping for double my body weight.

I like a bit of a combination, I would like to be about 240lbs 9% bf. I`m not far off and may actually end up near there after this cycle we'll see.
