White stuff on aspiration

Humm, weird stuff I don't know what to make of it. I was doing my biweekly pinning and when I aspired I saw a white bubble come into the syringe, right after blood got into it also. Pulled out, pressed on the hole that was pouring blood out, threw the syringe and gear in the thrash can. What was the white stuff? Fat? Cause I was as deep as usual. I'm thinking maybe the fat slipped into the syringe while I pushed in. I'm using 23g 1", quad inj. First time it happens to me... sucks to lose gear like that. What do you guys think?

no I think maybe it was leftover gear since I was close to an injection spot from a week and a half ago. Could that be possible?

is it UG gear ? you could have an abcess starting .Does it resemble puss ??
if thats the case go to your Dr and let him know
or take the strongest form of antibiotic you can find .
Back inthe day of UG labs , some carryed Z packs " Zithromax "or Azithromycin
usually 3 tabs would do it for almost anything .

or you could be asperating too hard and getting tissue back ??

Nah, It seems too white to be puss and I mean, how long does it take for an abcess to form? It's been over a week since last inj in that leg...

probably left over oil from previous injection.

watch it close, and dont pin there for a couple weeks.

I have never had one yet , but it takes a few days from what I have herd .

I have herd some scarey shit about people too scared to go see a Dr after knowing its an abcess , like sticking in a 18g pin to use for draining ect .

just keep an eye on it , if it starts to get bigger I suggest you see a Dr
some abcesses wont hurt at all before you find them .

Sounds like you hit a sterile abcess, I would leave that site alone for a while.

bingo, i agree with this statement...had the same thing, sucked out about 3/4 cc of it and all wqas fine...thank-god...

Nah, I doubt it was an abscess... probably left over oil like the other guy said. just a small bubble, then blood from a vein poured in. Anyway, thanks for the input... I'll live apparently. :D

use a 1.5" needle next time.. stick with the 1" only on small muscles like shoulders/arms.
