View Full Version : Know When Enough is Enough
A few months ago a really large fellow joined my gym about 6'0 245lbs around 9% bf. I've gotten to know him over the past while and we talked about past cycles ect. This guy works out very hard never misses a workout eats well but in the past 2 months his health has taken a big shit. I saw him four days ago and his eyes had a nice yellow tint to them. He mentioned he had abdominal pain for the past few weeks but said it usually goes away. Guess not this time. Anyways guys if your feeling shitty get you ass to the doctor or hospital. The cycles this guy did would be considered mild by alot of the members on this board. Not all of us tolerate these powerfull drugs the same way. This is the type of thing that gives AAS a bad name if everyone got blood work done even once every six months this kind of thing would happen alot less.

Good post.
I have said in the past: One shot of test can send you to the hospital, OR 1000 shots down the line and your health may remain intact.
juice in itself is a gamble IMO
Kidney problems? That can happen to anybody. Heart problems...well we can diversify the amount of problems gear can bring into a mans life. In the end,we know what we are doing, we love taking the risk.
In my mid 20s I was hospitalized because of gear, VERY irregular palpitations the doctors objurgated my usage on the spot and blamed it all on it---truth is NOW a days I wish I knew what I know now, I would have told him to do his damn job a little better, and dig past the surface.. Why? Maybe I was too naive to accept that, or maybe it was the easy prognostic to give me..who knows.
Following proper maintainance such as: blood work, clean pins, PCT, time off and plenty of it, will ensure us and give us peace of mind; the truth is that, nothing will prevent damage if it is meant to be.--KNOWING WHEN TO COME OFF and for how long...you know logically, and realistically.
How many times do we hear: Man dies of a heart attack at the age of 37. Perfect life, no drugs, no smoking, no drinking, no blood problems or weight problems...but hey he still had a heart attack.
I truly believe that the media has a field trip and take direct punches at our world whenever they can get to...

RESPONSIBILITY
Everyone has a responsibility to take care of themselves and it really does'nt matter what you are taking or not taking. If you abuse and do not take care of yourself you increase the probability of damage to yourself. This holds true for those that abuse nothing, if they do not maintain their health and have check ups which will provide early detections you may drop dead or end up with cancer too.
Then there is the possibility you take care of yourself, get regular check ups, eat right and exercise and you still drop dead! Is it fate, karma, the enviornment or genetics?
I think all we can do is be responsible for ourselves and the decisions we make.

And then 2 years ago another canadian pro landed himself in the hospital.
Its a long read, but its worth it, and especially if you read the first reply to the blog.

I can't remember either, but I do remember that a guy I knew on Bolex landed himself in the hospital with some very serious complications from heavy tren use.... shit that would have been 7-8 years ago I think.

i think there is a common compound here with a lot of people going down, and that is tren.
tren makes you huge....but at what cost?
Will I ever do tren again? yes, but for 4 weeks. Some of these guys hit the tren for a looooooooong time.

Last time I saw him back in Edmonton he was doing ok. I think he may have posted about it on the ABBA board but I don't know if that post got deleted or not.
Its Dan's story to share, but my understanding is that he tried to have show level condition and dryness 24/7/365 while maintaining an active social life.

So are we at a stage where we have to make serious decisions??
Auto makers make vehicles that exceed the speed limit, vehicles that kill people on a DAILY base. Sure WE have the power to control the system, to not speed---we know that the limit on any highway is 100kilometers per hour...why do we go 250??
Are we reaching a point where we have to address this serious issue from the root, i.e. have the labs make friendlier compounds?
Who is REALLY responsible for all this deaths, or bodily permanent damage? The labs? The consumer?
Hey if you are old enough to drive, then you are old enough to understand the rules of the high way act....equal treatment when it comes to gear usage.
In time, can we make changes for the better?
....damn phone ringing :D brb

It always comes down to personal responsibility and education. Some people honestly have no idea that they can hurt their bodies by doing the things they do and threads like these (hopefully) shed a bit of light on the potential consequences.
In the end people are free to do what they want. If they know what could happen and choose to do it anyway regardless of the outcome its their ass. :)

Great way to put it . we have all done ( or most of us ) cycles that were a little or exeedingly high dosages just like we have all gone higher than the speedlimit . but there is a happy med here . you dont need 2 grams of test or tren a week to grow or 100 mg ed of d-bol . stick to the basics , keep it simple stupid ( K.I.S.S ) and remeber your propper PCT . its not rocket science there is no need for outragouse cycles . best cycles I have been on were small dosages with long esters , a single oral for 4 weeks ( usually D-bol ) for 14 weeks .
After my D-bol was finished usually 2 weeks after , I would start using Liv-52 for liver support and would continue using it until my PCT was finished .
All my Blood work came back awsome . my liver valuse were always in check and everything . dont just get them done every 6 months , get them done before you cycle , mid cycle , and post cycle that way you have a better idea whats going on while you are on cycle.
and bro , answer your phone LMAO

example of a David Jacobs (dead steroid dealer, was Branch Warrens training partner) cycle:
Start things with sust, switch to test-e or test-c ???mg a week
800mg EQ a week
200mg Deca a week
100mg D-bol daily on training days only
He says most pros do at least 24-32 week cycles and guys with a lot of shows will stay on year round
Got it from big nation radio interview of david jacobs
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ultimate/page/4
Wonder how the hell more pros don't have more health problems.
I'm glad this thread has been so positive. Everytime I hear something like this is makes me think. Should I really do another cycle. Is it worth the risk. The answer to me is yes but I will probably only be using the less harsh compounds and never using high doses. Scotts blog is a big wake up call to alot of guys out there. I used tren at a young age for much longer then is probably safe, nothing happened to me that time but 5 or 10 years down the road something would have been bound to happen if I would have continued down the path of ignorance. Lets be safe just because one member on a board can get away with using 1g of test and 500mg of tren for 20 weeks does not mean you may be able to do the same thing with no consequences.
I have one grandparent who smoked 2 packs a day for 40 years they never had lung cancer. My other grandparent died long before I got to meet them at age 45 of lung cancer, never smoked in his life. Different people are affected different ways!
