Hi everyone,

I had NO3 Overload recommended to me. Did some reading, and am seeing very mixed reviews. Being very new to all of this, and still very small (140 lbs at 5'8" and only going to the gym for about 5 weeks so far,) I am wondering what your opinions are. Is it worth giving a try, or should I stay far away from it?

Thanks,
Josh

everyone i've talked to said good things, i just picked up a box of it, havent tried it yet...

if i was you bro id just stick to creatine monohydrate for at least 5-6 months.. when you hit you plateau youll want something to give you that boost...

I tried NO3 Overload in the powder form a couple of months ago, and I did like it quite a bit. One of the few supps that actually delivered what it claimed.

spend your $ on protein/fish oil and a good multi. there are some good supplements but at your stage eating good food and lots of it is #1. i would wait on the creatine for another month or 2.
reason being is you are going to gain muscle simply from innervation. ie your muscles need to figure out what is going on so they grow quickly and easily for a while. this stops sooner than later, and you need to start putting more effort into program design. this is when I'd start the creatine. stay away from the creatine sugar mixes (too much $ for what they are). just throw some in a post workout shake with protein and carbs and you'll be good to go.

Personally it upset my stomach, but it did deliver good pumps and good increase in intensity.

Is BIG advertised as a sleeping aid, or is that a side effect?

It's advertised as a post-workout/pre-bedtime anabolic recovery product.. It contains a wide range of ingredients, but the key ingredients for sleep are 5-HTP and Melatonin.

All right, thanks for the clarifications flexy.

CMI probably makes the most innovative supplement line on the market right now.. Can't go wrong with any of their products.

For those who have a hard time with sleep try BIG.. Amazing product that I'd recommend to anyone.

NO3 is the best mixing pre-workout supplement too, hands down. Probably put it as my personal favourite next to MRI Black Powder

Flexy, you seem like a smart guy so your opinion is well regarded by me. I looked at the ingrdient profile of black powder and don`t see anything special, could you tell me why you like it?

Acutually NO3 seems alot better. There are some neurotransmiter enhancers some fat buring compounds and antioxidants. Can`t really comment on the rest like the "intracellualr blood matrix", are these phosphates used to reduce lactid acid?

Holy shit, I didn`t even read your question. No man, don`t use this product, you`ve only been training 5 weeks, forget it. Get the meal plan down man. You wanna gain mass, let me break it down for you the easiest way possible.

1-eat 5-6 times a day.

2- every meal will have protein, carbs and some fats.

3-every meal about 30 grams of protein with 2-3 times the amount of carbs.

3- to make sure you get enough essential fats throw some peanut butter in those shakes and have some red meat every day.

Not knowing how you eat now I wouldn`t recommend something with ingredients that make you train harder. If you`re training harder you have to be even smarter with your food, something I`m not sure you have covered yet and since most beginners don`t, I`m betting the answer is no.

You`re just starting off, and will be making some big gains, the easiest you will ever make in the next year or so. Save these specialty products for when you get stuck. If you want more detail on how to construct proper diet, I strongly suggest you go read what John Berardi has to say on this subject. If you google his name you will find his articles. Good luck!

P.s eat some burgers man. There`s nothing wrong with burgers. Especially if you make them yourself, it`s just protein and carbs. I put just ketchup on mine... Hope you have access to a BBQ, man am I going to miss that this winter. But Mc Donald`s??? C`mon guys, is that even meat? I just get the shits when I eat anything there. Seriously I shit my pants a few times thinking I only had to fart after eating Burger King. Something is wrong with that food. It`s a good thing I was on my way home after those incidents... Baton Rouge has really good burger, and the fries are real good, always fresh. Plus you won`t shit your pants after.
