So I fvcked my ear up while pressing and not breathing properly tonight.
I was doing heavy shoulder press when I heard a pop in my ear and now it aches and feels full.

Anyone have this happen or have experience in this area?

Ear pain is shitty, I have taken a NSAID to help reduce it.

The worst ear pain I ever had was my first trip on an airplane. The pressure difference while landing left me with ear pain for about 3 days until my ear popped. Now I know how to rid myself of ear pressure through stretching out my lower jaw or chewing gum.

I know the pain can be pretty severe. You can head to Emerg to get them to relieve it for you.

you've got something called a eustachian tube that goes between your nose and your ear, so your ear can adapt to outside pressure(god bless wikipedia). By pushing hard without letting the air out by your nose, you've most likely put extra pressure on your eardrum from the inside. If you had perforated it, you'd know for sure as that's really painful. So my guess is that you've just stretched it a little, it should come back to normal eventually. To let the air out, if its still there, moving your jaw around might help.

Yeah it crackles and such.

I talked to a buddy just now who had the same thing. He went to the doc and the doctor told him to wait it out and after about three days it returned to normal.

All your help is appreciated guys. Thanks.

A little ringing, but no pain now. Still a full feeling.

Chew lots of gum, when I have shit like that happen I find it helps work it out and make it go away

Bro I have the EXACT SAME THING at this very moment. I ruptured my right eardrum a couple years ago scuba diving in Mexico (fuggin' mexicans didn't teach me how to equalize before going down:mad:) Anyways, I just got off a plane earlier this week, and the same ear just didn'w seem to want to equalize on the way down. Got worse and worse over the last week, now it 'pops' constantly like it did when I ruptured it, and it has that 'full' feeling as well. Freakin' pain in the ass (or ear, I should say...) because I cannot hear a damn thing out of that ear now, and yesterday on leg day I may have f'd it up even more when squatting - t'was popping like a mother****er!

I webMD'd my shit, and I am pretty sure it is an ear infection, with a buildup up of fluid behind the ear drum - ear infections are not always painful. I am going to the walk-in clinic tomorrow to have the Doc take a look. Good luck with yours bro!
