Okay, so I've always treated arms as one bodypart. I do at most 12 total sets per workout 6bis/6tris and possibly some forearm movements; like I would treat legs as one bodypart, doing squats, then adding in some hamstring/quad movements.
However,Iseem to notice alot of people that treat arms differently - on arm day they would treat bis/tris as seperate and distinct and do 8+ workouts for each muscle. 16-24 sets total I've seen. I've seen this as excessive, as I've obtained reasonable results with arm development.
Although, I have pondered that with just about any other muscle group, compound movements are possible. There is no real compound exercise equivalent to arms - we can't work both bis n' tris out (assuming proper form) in one movement, can we? Perhaps I am wrong?
What about you all, what do you tend to do?
Treat as one or distinct on arm day?
Or do you train them on seperate days, doing around 10+ sets?
Let's hear.
