When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I thought M. Night Shamalamadingdong was finally getting back to his Sixth Sense ways. I was quite disappointed in this film.

The premise was shaky, at best. I found it very difficult to wrap my mind around the alleged cause for all the chaos. It just seemed outlandish to me. I know some movies you just have to suspend disbelief for a couple of hours, but this was WAY too much to ask me to go along with.

The ending was a stretch, too.

Mark Wahlberg was horrible. I am a big fan of his and usually find his acting believable and compelling, for a pretty boy. He somehow manages to come off as a badass, even though he isnt. In this movie, he seemed more like an upset schoolgirl. I did not like his acting whatsoever.

Zooey Deschanel is cute. I liked her in Bridge to Terabithia, but her acting was right on par with Marky Mark's. Lackluster and less than believable.

All in all, I actually didnt mind this movie as a time killer. However, I wouldnt recommend it if you are expecting something that will keep you thinking.

** from me...

I thought this movie was cheap and poorly done. It kept my interest, but barely.

Overall I was disappointed with this movie.

I think it was the dialog that was bad. Acting too, but you need good writing and the right pick of actors/actresses for the writing. The Happening had neither.

I agree, Shithead. The dialog was terrible. I just think Wahlberg is a decent actor, IMO, and his delivery could have made it passable with a little more effort...

Not worth watching. Started out great with alot of expectation and drowned out very quickly.

The concept was nice, but the main actor sucked (or maybe that's just the just very soft feminine voice he has that makes me say that) and as far as the ending goes... big letdown (like most movies now a days). It reminded me of war of the worlds; lets just run, do nothing and wait until its over. 3/5

i totally liked this movie...old school creepy. The low budget look totally went with the script. Not huge action but a very interesting premise. if u really think about it this movie is not a real stretch compared to most

For some reason I rented this movie even after reading all of the reviews, all I can say is what a horrible movie. Poor acting, Storyline was just plain stupid..... just a very bad movie.

Marky Mark really didn't look believable as a teacher. Movie had potential but fell flat.
