This week I tried for the 1st time a powerlifting belt for squatting, after that I was looking at my bodybuilding belt and ''here goes nothing''.

I would like to buy one and need some help to make a good choice (there is a gazillion models at ATP). I'm not a powerlifter, but I use a belt as it prevents a lot of lower problem in my case, it does make a HUGE difference, even a skinny cheap belt, I'm also not super strong, only using 225lbs for front squats, so I guess I don't need the strongest thing...

Also I've notice it's very hard to close so I saw there is some with a metal clip, would be a good idea to ease-up the buckling on/off ? Or it's still better to go with a single hook ?

If anyone has an old one and is not using it, let me know it you wanna sell...

Thanks

Eric

I was thinking something like:

https://inzernet.com/detail_belt.asp?PRODUCT_ID=FOREVER_LEVER_10MM

I also saw one with a ratchet: http://www.inzernet.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=PRBELT#

Or should I go with a regular belt with one prong ?

I'm not sure if the ones with a lever/ratchet is as comfortable since there the end is under-laid, it's still a 10mm bump... any thoughts ?

Have you looked at Cardillo?

No I didn't knew that brand, I've ordered a tapered inzer for other lift then squats and a non tapered (that is actually BO) for squats. So far I do not like the tapered one, I hope I will like the other one better.
