Hey!!
i heard that it's good to take a supplement for joints when your working out but there are alot of supplements and vitamins out there. Plus some of them contain sulpher or some sort of sulpher compound in them (i'm allergic to sulpher). I need some infomation about these products and which one to take?

Also i have to friend who has some sort of tendinitis in his shoulder. What type of treatments could he do for it and what should he do before going to the gym? Thanks

I buy chondroitin sulfate for my dad to help with his arthritis and I started using it too and it seems to help. Remember that if you have blood-sugar problems, avoid glucosamine as it will spike your bg levels.

For joints omega fish oils is always good. You can get Glucosamine & Chondroitin at any Shoppers drug mart and that stuff helped but you need to take it for a long period.

Omega 3's, Glucosamine, Chondroitan, MSM and a little Motrin and some ice. I have also had great success recently with IGF-1R3 injected right into pec/shoulder tie-in (area of my injury). I have had probs with my shoulders for the past year and they are finally starting to heal and feel good now after i did the IGF-1 about a month ago.

Fish oil really fixed up my pains, had bad tendonitis, now it's pretty much non-existent.

Glucosamine/chronditin are ok for artritic joints sure.... but if u got soft tissue issues go get a good ART practitioner....

warn them u are there to see results so be as aggresive as possible

go from there.

you may need some ibuprofan after ART sesions.... especailly if they use graston technique

ive had good results from glucosamine chondroitin and msm. I know advil isnt ideal, but a couple extra strenghts and you should be able to get through your workouts pain free! ice, wraps and lighter weights may also help until your pain subsides

Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Omega fish oil. That combo helped me, a lot.
Will look into, and possibly try, the MSM, and Shark Cartilage.
Good thread, keep the remedies comin'.

I might add that Jello is another possible solution. Try drinking a pack of sugar-free jello a day, half in the morning, half in the evening. Can't remember where I picked this info up. However, I have tried it and amazingly it seemed to help when compared to just regular old MSM/Glucosamine alone.

The reasoning behind it, I guess, is that we rarely eat bone/connective tissue in our diet limiting our body's natural ability to form cartilige. Apparently adding gelatin, which is made from such products, helps with healing joints.

Shark oil is waste of $. Fish oil is a lot more bang for your $. Microlactin worked GREAT for me.

Celadrin and SAMe look like viable options.
