Quick question.

I have been working out steady for 3 years now and on and off for 10 in total threw high school and stuff. Now 33 and working out like a mad man not getting much for gains but could be my fault diet is not that great but it is good just need a bit more fuel. I am thinking of trying some new sups but not 100% sure what! I was really throwing around the idea of the juice but still not sure on that one. I weight 185 have for the last year can't seem to bring it up only by a few punds then loose it. Not sure on the BF I am fairly lean I am about 5'9 or so. I have tried a lot of different sups but nothing really gave me that feeling when you look in the mirror and say ya 4:30am gym rat is well worth this. here are some sups I have tried. I am not the kind of person that buys a can of something and decides that it does not work after the first can I always by atleast 3 to give it a fair shake

Cell tech. Nothing at all
Regular creatine not good ( can't remember the name)
Pro lab creatine not too bad but nothing special
NAno Vapor not too bad got good pumps but after 3 months no gains (still finishing the last jug)
Animal Pump I liked this one but I seemed to add a few pounds then nothing I took that for a while.

I am taking
Animal Pack
Animal Nitro
Glutamine ( or how ever you spell it)
Nano

Now the question is any thoughts on these

Universal storm and shock therapy?
Ultimate nutrition testostro grow HP
Fusion Purple K.

Any ideas thoughts would be great.

Get your diet 100 per cent in order first, that'll do more for you than any supplement. Supplements are nice, but if your diet isn't covering all the bases they won't pick up the slack. Most people think that they are getting more than enough protein, but in fact very very very very few people are even close to where they need to be to really grow. Try concentrating on that first. Get some extralean beef, chicken breasts, eggs, tuna, whey, cottage cheese, or other clean protein five times a day every day.

As far as supps go: The pump stuff is just for fun, it looks good in the gym but doesn't really add any muscle. Plain creatine monohydrate is the best form, a lot of the fancy creatine mixes are mostly sugar.

Bump Gordi...without a good diet, most supplements are not gonna do shit. At 185lbs, eating 300grams of protein per day will make you grow.

I totally understand that with out the diet at 100% everything else is just a waste for sure. I get in atleast 5 meals a day that consist of cards protein and some form of greens. Plus one protein shake. The problem with the diet is that It's not really clean some fats and sauces but I am not cutting but trying to gain so that's not all bad. Not much for fast food so that helps. I hunt so I always have lean meat I think for me I am just not consistant. I do want to keep taking creatine though but not sure what kind works best. That is one reason I was looking at the purple K.

Eat 250g protein per day, 400-600g carbs and 100g fat from healthy sources. Start at 400g carbs and if you don't gain anything in 2 weeks bump it to 500g.....and if you don't gain, bump it again until you do. If your abs dissapear too much then drop some carbs. Fat is very important so I wouldn't drop that too much, but you can go as low as 75g or so. Hope the helps a bit.

Try making your own weight gainers too. A blender, 2 scoops whey, 1/2 cup oatmeal, a banana, some strawberries, 2tbsp honey, 2-4 tbsp natural peanut or almond butter. Drink twice daily :)

You don't need that much protein. Eat more calories, lots of small meals, train hard and heavy, get as much sleep as you can. I don't like to pimp supplements but if I had to pick any I'd say Creatine Mono, ZMA, Omega 3 & 6 (fish oil) and a good multi vitamin.

I think a lot of guys get too caught up in what to eat and forget to eat all together...don't do that. Just eat, try 4000 calories/day see what happens and adjust. Forget about supplements, think of them as a maybe not a must.

Consistency is totally the key... and game is some of the best and tastiest meat you can get, so just keep eating lots of it regularly and you'll probably see better results. If I understand correctly, game has a better fat profile than grain-fed farm meat (way more Omega 3s), so that is a huge benefit of being a hunter.

I find creatine monohydrate to work well and it is definitely more cost effective than the fancy stuff... purple K has the advantage of being in pill form, so you don't have to fuss about with mixing drinks. I'll sometimes use CEE or Kre-Alkalyn pills when I'm on the road. It's more convenient, but I wouldn't say that it works better for me. Try it for yourself and see. I know that Cheap Ephedrine/Fitness Etc. has good prices on creatine in pill form.

if youre looking for a pre work out supp im a big fan of Noexplode (the red jug) stacked with Black Powder (just came out). Wow.. i thought my arms were going to explode.

i dont think if anyoene metioned this already, but its KEY that you shove as much nutrients in your body as possible POST work out.
Your pWO shake should lookin something like this:

45 grams of protein
2-3 tablespoons sugar
glutamine

Chug the first 1/2 of the shake like immediately when you get in the locker room, then dilute the rest and sip it over like 45 mins. Dont pre mix it water tho cause glutamine gets sketchy when left suspended in water over a while...

You said you have 1 protein shake a day, id up that to at least 3:
1 - first thing in the morning b4 breakfast with some table sugar to spike the insulin
2 - between lunch and your workout somewhere
3 - post workout
(maybe 4 - long released protein like casein or just drink some egg whites before bed)

ill be a parrot and say consitency is the most important thing...
ALTHO

in your case i will disgaree with the bro's who say up your food intake slowly... eff that shit man just start packing the food in if your really want size... loosing weight after isnt THAT hard with the right pills, you dont even need to do cardio (unless youre a fag and like running)

also, since you mention you like to purchase supplements in bulk, which arent cheap, im going to assume that you have some money to play with, and you will eventually do 1 or 2 cycles of gear in the future, which will be more than enough to take care of unwanted bodyfat (unless you plan on competing)

ps. want to pack on weight (read: fat) fast??? peanut butter and bananas before bed for a week :)

good luck bro

That you were going to say...if your an Fart like me..get use to it. It's harder to get gains and keep them as you get older unless your own some type of test as it declines as you get older....HRT :)

truth be told i really hate that black powder stuff and things with the high arginine content...... dont get me wrong if you are after the pump the shit is unbelievable, its awesome but I recently started taking some and the pump is so intense that you lose your full range of motion, couldnt even do a proper curl halfway through my workout.....

i've been bulking for a few years now, and the only thing that worked for me is weight gainer, ALLMAX Quickmass, worked great, but its all about your food intake just like everyone said eat alot and often, if you take 2 weight gainer shakes and 6 meals a day, guranteed you'll gain weight. you dont have to waste your money on all those supplements, i know they look cool but most of them dont really work. you might as well just jump on the juice. that way you'll get gains and wont be wasting so much cash.

Thanks alot for the info. I knew that I had to get my diet in check before I got any more sups. I think I am just going to up the calories and some fat for me is not too bad I believe that I can burn it off no problem. I will look for a good creatine and try that out and see where it goes. And the consistancy thig is just me not getting to eat at a sertin time but I always put down at least 5 quality meals a day plus a shake. One other question I usually work out first thing in the morning I get up have a protein shake some form of carba and off to the gym before work anyone see any problem with that? What kind of carb should a guy be taking before?
