I went in to pick up some things the other day and walked through the supplement section and noticed 4.4lbs whey isolate for $45. 30 grams of PRO a scoop with only .5 CHO per scoop. The taste on the stuff is decent as well. Last time I checked for protein there all they carried was the EAS WPC which was reminiscent of a kick to the mouth and bowels all at once.

in van they have kaizen as well. personally dont like it and never found cosctos prices on supplements worthwhile

i was also surprised to see flats of myoplex shakes (the mini cartons) for a really decent price last time i was there, id bet its a short term thing as they bought a bunch up for cheap through a middle man. wish i used them lol

Yes! I've been using this stuff for a month and I swear, it's one of the best finds ever. It was 42.99 here I believe, and it mixes smooth in a shaker and tastes great!

EAS whey (must be low-grade whey protein) is now sold at Wal-mart as well. 2.2 lb for $23. That's quite expensive for that sort of brand.

If anyone orders alot like me check out TrueProtein.com if you haven't heard of it. ZeOne told me about these guys. You can design your own protein, it's contents, sweetners etc. And it's super cheap considering...

I just built a 20 pound order of soy protein built how I like it, Strawberry-Banna and here's the cost shipped to me in Canada:

Sub-Total: $94.81
Discount: - $4.74
Shipping: $37.99
Tax: $7.68
Grand Total: $135.74

$135 US for 20 LBS of your custom soy protein to your door. I should also note, that shipping for 15 pounds was $34, and only a $3 increase in shipping to up it to 20 lbs.

Something to look at I guess in case you haven't heard of them. I pay about $115 after tax for 10 LBS at SND Canada, so i'm saving about $80-90 an order.

I'll wait till there's more conclusive evidence about it not affecting estrogen levels in males.

If any of you guys are going to order from them, feel free to use the coupon code from my site to save 5% - code is SERMUSCLE

You can change it to Whey if you want its not that much more. ( actually only $.38 cents more per pound to go to Whey Protein Concentrate )

Costco still has them beat. 10 bucks a pound for flavoured whey isolate is without a doubt the cheapest I have found. The next closest would be buying larger amounts from wheydepot however why wait for it to be shipped?

i cant comment on true proteins products as ive never gone through with an order, i know people like them though.

the price isnt as great as youre making it out to be in my opinion. I priced out an order for a high quality whey and by the time it was delivered etc it was what i pay at my local supp shop (where i get a discount... but who doesnt).

Im happier to be able to walk in and get it when i want it rather than have to order online and wait. again, perhaps the quality is THAT much better, i dont know, but i do buy good stuff locally.

and gsx- why on earth are you using soy protein? unless you have an allergy or are a vegetarian i see no point man. plus soy isnt good for men

I was looking at the cosco stuff today. Didn't look all that appealing to me. Was $45 for 5lbs of something I've never seen or heard of before... I've been buying 5lbs of cytosport whey at gnc for under $40 for months now. The stuff mixes with ease and tastes great too.

Are you sure cytosport 5lbs is under 40$ at GNC? Because over here at Gnc cytosport is over 50$for 5lbs. I agree Cytosport does taste good.

At our GNC it is at least. It's a "sale" that they're going to keep running until it stops selling so well.

Or until they run out of supply. IOvate is forcing the sale and soon we're gonna have muscletech products where the cytosport stuff used to be. :moon

Thats an amazing website. I've always been looking for a powder out there with no sweetners, and to not have to purchase monohydrate seperately; excellent and time saving.

I appreciate the convenience of Protein powders and do use em but I try pretty hard to eat real food. While in weight gain mode 2 or 3 litres of milk a day is a whole lot cheaper.

the price sure is right. The taste got to me after a while but it's about 30-40 bucks cheaper than what you're paying in a GNC for an isolate.

Yes, the choc is really good. Does seem to be too good to be true, but kaizen is a fairly dependable brand, no?

28-11-2008, 08:07 AM
If I'm not mistaken, I think it turns out to be around 85% protein per scoop. I believe a pure isolate is about 90% (give or take a couple of percentage points). Still, overall, it's not a bad product. Especially if one were to get it on sale. Even about $45 for 4.4lbs isn't too bad comparatively speaking.

Ya they don't seem to stocking them anymore. It was a good deal though most supplement stores charge like $10-11 for a 4 pack. I also noticed safeway is carrying these as well. But that place is the biggest rip off ever for supp. like $3.50 for a 15g detour bar!

--Update--
So i went to the local Costco yesterday and they are now carrying the KAIZEN 100% Whey Isolate protein for 35.99 for 4.4lbs....now from what i have seen this has to be the cheapest whey isolate on the market. Ive done a full read of the nutrition label and everything appears to be right on....am i missing something with this product?

Kaizen is canadian... might have something to do with why they are cheaper... not too sure.

we use about 75% Kaizen protein... just the normal cheap stuff.. They sponsor Little Leigh...I don't totally understand the whole science behind iso vs whey thing (fast digestion bla blah bla... I just start tuning it out)... but it seems to work just fine... kinda get sick of the limited flavours, but thats jsut me.

I"m using it too..the flavour problem can be solved by adding Chrystal Light. The orange Chrystal Light one makes the vanilla taste like an orange Cream Sickle.
