Denying Islamic women the "right" to walk around with a mask has NOTHING to do with religion. There is nothing in the Quran that talks about face coverings for women anywhere. Its a cultural thing, and when in Rome, do as the Romans do. You want Islamic culture, move back to an Islamic state. End of story.

I agree that the women in that broadcast are actively denigrating any woman that has found a stable man and feels it is better to take a few years off to raise some children to school age or longer.What goal they have is up for debate,at the moment,women seem to be outperforming men in educational pursuits,and you could venture a number of reasons for this.As for the big H,I will say that exact numbers don't really matter,from North Africa,Yugoslavia and wherever they simply put them in a big pile and burned them.The moment the narrator goes there,he simply assumes a buns up stance,and should stay away from it .

Why is Canada one of the only countries that ALLOWS these things to happen. Because were pussies. Canada has been molded into a lame melting pot of cultures because WE conform to THEM. It should be the other way around, you come to Canada, you do as we do.
A little tiny point, if someone with a full face thing was in court, wouldn't you want to see their facial expressions etc? The yarmulkes doesn't conceal identity.

And the stay at home daughters turning into stay at home wives. Do they literally mean some daughters are NOT going to school or doing anything and just staying home and helping out around the house until they are married? Is this some kind of small cult or movement or something? Or are they ripping on Christianity and portraying regular wives as 'stay at home suppressed' women?

The most religious people I know that are christian and catholic and are the MOST independent people ever, hardly suppressed. These are two highly religious girls, I know one male my age and HE is the one that is suppressed if anything. I'm not religious at all which is why these people stand out to me. The real world totally goes against what those two bitches were spitting. How the **** is that on national TV?
I think that they are just rather militant feminists,that wish to see women having more of a say in how society is shaped.Maybe even rule the world,hell,I hear it all the time from my wife that women should be in charge,she says there would be fewer wars.I then point out that Thatcher,Gandhi and Meir all presided over many a conflict...

You truly are completely out to lunch with some of your opinions. Is a Yarmulka hiding someones face in public? It is completely different and cannot be compared at all.
You choose to compare the stupidest and most minute similarities to continue on your quest to promote hatred of Jews. If one day Jews started wearing ski masks and calling it religion I would also have an issue with that as it is complete bullshit to walk around in public wearing a disguise and playing it off as ones right.
I guess everyone should be allowed to walk around in spiderman and batman costumes that completely hides someones identity. Better yet, lets let our teachers wear whatever the **** they want when they are teaching young children. If one man wants to wear just a thong, thats completely cool. Maybe he wants to cover up everything except his junk, totally cool too.

Some consider these veils etc. to be religious and not just cultural significance. It depends who you ask. Does it really matter if its religious or cultural?

Yes. If you dont like what Im saying, and the culture of this country, or any foreign country you move to, get the **** out. It is not up to the accepting country to adopt the views of every person that enters it. If I cannot move there and do the same, why would I bow to their requests here? Its simple logic not an acceptance of one culture or religion over another.
If some Islamists claim that wearing a burka is religious, this doesnt make it so. If its not in the Quran, I fail to see the translation of how it can be interpreted as any part of the Muslim religion. Some of my closest friends growing up, and to this day are Muslim followers. A close friend of mine here at University wears a Hajab and I see nothing wrong with it. She is a confident and bright young girl who CHOOSES to cover up her hair for personal reasons. Her little sister CHOOSES not to. I doubt there is a mentally competent woman on this planet that outright CHOOSES to wear a burka.

I never asked anyone to check anything at the door. What you want to do in the privacy of your own home is up to you, I could care less. If you choose to walk around violating Canadian law, yes I do have a problem with that. As soon as I can go to their country and RAM my beliefs down their throat and demand they remove any public display of anything religiously related then Im perfectly ok with them doing the same thing here.
Im gonna start a religion where I have to wear the mask of a dead president everywhere I go. I hope they dont react poorly at the bank when I walk in. That might not go well.

Ultimately,by sometimes the first generation,and usually for sure by the second,people assimilate.I had many friends in childhood that had parents that were somewhat different,maybe an accent,yet my buddies were mainstream,this is the way it's been since Canada began.So we are in fact a melting pot.This must be the efforts of the CBC brainwashing you BAM.It wouldn't bother you if the Americans were just like us,would it?:)
