I recently had the opportunity to read the ultimate diet 2.0 by Lyle McDonald

and have been giving much thought to implementing it into my upcoming

cut. In the book it is suggested that the user be at a bf level of no more the

10-15%. I am closer to 20 at this point. I'm assuming that Lyle suggests this

bf level because at any higher bf levels less strict dieting could still yield

results. This i do agree with, but my goal is to have the most bf lost with

the least amount of lbm in the shortest amount of time....that being said...

would this diet be effective and or a good choice considering my goals? Also

anyone with first hand experience that cares to add please feel free.

As a side note i will be using aas as well as Clen/t3 during my next cut...

Cheers! :yeah

Lyle's books are very comprehensive he must have a scientific reasons for suggesting 10-15% so i would take his recommendation. I dont really understand. You believe in his diet, but not his recommendations on how to use it effectively? Either you trust his opinion or not?

well he said that until you reach 12-15% bf less aggressive diets would still

yield results...and in my post i said i do agree with that. I do respect his

recomendations...but as with any other, i take it as just that... a

recommendation. The diet is designed to get people sub10% bf, so logically i

assumed it could work for someone in the higher end of the spectrum. As far

as a scientific reason for his recommendation, i doubt it. I assume it has more to

do with the likelihood that the majority of people above this bf% don't have the discipline or

determination to warrant the use of his diet, and would better benefit from a

less aggressive diet, of which they could maintain more comfortably while still

seeing some results.

Lyle has his forums at www.bodyrecomposition.com You may want to try him there. I don't think anyone on this site has experience with his diet. I've never seen it mentioned here. I have the program, read it but never tried it.
If you get an answer please post up his response.

I would look around on his forum for an answer to your question, I would guess someone has asked him this same question in the past. If not, shoot him an e-mail.
He's actually coaching me for my figure show right now...he is VERY knowledgable, if he would tell me to eat rocks I probably would do it lol
