View Full Version : New Cable Crossover (New to me at least)
I was looking for variations of crossovers and fly's when I came across this on Youtube. Looks worthwhile.
Check it out.

You cannot isolate parts of the pectorals that is a myth...you would get much better development doing a decline press.

^^ Ive never had any great success with decline anything. Presses or fly's its never done a thing for me. I think my arms are just too long to properly isolate in that movement compared to what I can do on an incline anyway. I will never deviate from the standard incline dumbbell presses for strength / size, but I need something different to switch it up for a bit. That exercise may not isolate certain parts of the chest but its worth trying for me for now I suppose. Different strokes for different folks.
I wish I had access to a set of rings to use.

If you are not getting much from presses or flyes then your exercise form may be off.
Heres video from Dorian.

^^ my form has improved significantly over the last year or so and has improved my chest strength fairly well. Im just looking to add more "fine tuning" movements to my chest day I guess one would call it. Incline dumbbell fly's work ok usually, Im just looking for something different for the next 5-6 weeks to try.
Thanks though.

Princess Auto has recovery straps of varying lengths, fairly cheap, these can substitute for rings, you might also try decline presses with DB's.
^^ What do I hang them from, and how? Bolt them right into my ceiling?

There is no fine tuning movements bro just stick to the basics and it will come. I havent done any type of crossover or silly cable work on chest for almost two years now. If you never felt declines did anything Id have to agree with Prea, your form must be off, because when I do them, and guys that train with me LOVE doing them.
Try this, Gironda dips.....Google it.
You could take them to the gym and piss somebody off hanging them in the cage.If in your basement and the floor joists are exposed you could fasten them there.
I love cables but as a finisher , i usually do 3 sets to failure for that full out burn at the end of your W/O
