Hey guys i was inspired to start a log for myself for my show this year by cch. Looked cool and i did one last year and it was great motivation. A little background.
Stats- age:20
Weight as of Feb 15 (morning no clothes :) )=216
Height- 5' 11'
Contest expierence- Did first show in Startford Ontario (level 1) and did juniour class, as well as mens light heavy weights.
- Placed 2nd in Juniours (5 competitors and 4th in light heavys (about 10 competitors i believe)

This year i got a new coach for my prep as well as my trusted and amazing posing and everything else mother of bodybuilding FC for my routine.

Diet begins on Feb 27 and am awaiting the final diet specifications from my coach.

I plan on doing the Missausaga Ontario show on May 22nd and competing in the juniours and mens (whatever class my weight falls in and not shooting for any specific weight just whatever it takes to be 110% conditioned)

If you remember my log last year i did the show with no diutetics, a small amount of var, and a OTC fat burner.

This year and this entire offseason i have been getting all my proteins, bcaas, dextrose, waxy maize at True Supplements here in Windsor. Just have to say this place is just the mecca for bb and fitness oriented ppl. I know ive sed it before but i wouldnt be where i am today (not very far but hey good for me) without the help of those guys. This season i am going to be in the store harrasing them for supplements regularly.

Im really excited about getting the diet underway and slashing the fat. But im taking a diff approach then last year and i learned a lot in my first show to how i react to dieting, cardio, etc.
So a couple more weeks of pounding back the ground beef, chicken by the kg, and tonnes of carbs....
ANYWAYSS!!! heres a boatload of starting pics to see where im at. These are painful but hey i put on 25-30 pounds of bulk this winter so hey i got some fattttt but its aright..

Subbed to this, your the same age ( I turned 20 just last month) albeit 16 pounds heavier then I am, and I also started a log was ready to do my first show this march but had to back out financially so mid bulk for me.

I forgot to mention that im part of the Canadian Muscle Team and proud of it.:)...But ya im working with DK this year and am very excited about it. Very pumped to have someone of his caliber and condition not to mention vast stage expiernce to guide me on this journey. I no i will look back and wonder why i sed this but I CANT WAIT TO START MY PREP!!!

Your too humble bro you are really getting there. Your Traps/upper body are ****ing insane. Just blast those wheels to oblivion. Ive been following your log also and i wish ya the absolute best at your show. Go get em.

I want Nate/ P to chime in and give there criticisms and what to work ons. I dont no how to feel this year. I feel like a got a lot of work ahead me becuase of the bulker this winter. But not starting cardio till 8 weeks out...Let the diet and supplements do there job..

Im not at all doubting DK i was simply wondering what others thought of this plan. DK has the reins and i trust him 110% for evrything no questions asked. I was just waiting for them to chime in on what parts of my physique im lacking and need to improve on for this show. Sorry if it came across as differnt. IW i understand what you mean you must have total faith in your coach and that i definitly do. Nothing is more frustrating then second geussing your coach and I have no reason to. The plan we have layed out on paper looks perfect so now we just have to put it into action and make subtle adjustments depending on how i react. I was more looking for simple what to work ons and general talk just to get this thread going.

The truth is, you can't really work/build up anything when in diet mode so it is what it is for now and the only control you have at this point is conditioning.

You look pretty good. Legs could always use some work but you'll get there and you appear pretty balanced right now so that, too, is a plus.

You are miles ahead of your start point last year so that should make the process a whole lot easier for you.

Your right tho its too late to do anything now i geuss and the legs well we all no thats my weak point but i hope to be in much better condition this year and maybe my legs will appear better if i come in harder.

haha thanks guys i almost forgot about that!!! Those were ****ing grueling mental and physical 3 months but wow man looking back what a transformation. And since then i havent stopped i hope this year i take my physique to new heights and really kill this show.

weighed in at 178.9 at weigh ins. Starting at about 225-230. But did a huggggeeee 18 week contest prep...drove me to the nutt house..hahahah.. honestly this year im excited i wont have to have such a ridiculously long painful prep. Im not too far out of it now to begin with so DK and i figured about 25lbs to slash and im good to go (then water also)

216-25=
190 lean and mean...up ten or eleven pounds from last year would be very good for me. Also i feel like a brought up many lagging areas to at least balance my physique. (legs, lats, and traps had to be brought up signficantly)

As for right now im freaking out like i always do before my prep. Looking in the mirror saying to myself. Im smooth and ill never make it. But deep down i no i will make it no doubt about it i have the desire and dedication to this and would rather die then be 110% ready and in better condition than ever before. There is no doubt whatsoever that i wont be absolutly peeled to the bone this year. I have the ridiculous desire to do boatloads of cardio right now to get rid of this fat but i no i have to be patient and let the diet and supplements do there job.

today is the day.......started my diet officially this morning and started my supplements from true supplements. Im starting a few days early as sort of a test run to see how the diet will play out at work and everything. For the last few weeks i have been cleaning up my diet and getting used to dieting and saying no to shitty food. And so far i feel slightly leaner not before even beggining.

Starting weight Feb 25 2010=210.5

Pumped and ready to go head on at this diet!!!!!!! Off to work with my cooler full of chicken rice and potatoes..hahah

How did you manage to put some so much lean mass in the past year? 20+lbs is a lot.. plus doesnt look like you even gained all that much fat..

Current weight- 210lbs

Tonnes of clean calories and and amazing offseason. Starting doing my research and really giving it my all in my supplementation and diet and it really paid off. Ive been training insane for the last 8 months 2 days off a week on a 5 day split. Every set, every rep balls out. Im happy with the mass this offseason now the hard part.

Im 3 days into my diet and today is my first low carb day...**** i remember why i hate dieting. It makes me so hungry for food i normally would not even look at.

Training is still going great tho just got back from the gym with 519muscle from canadian muscle team and we just demolished quads/hams/calves...
Only 3 days in and noticing some subtle changes...already ****ing dieing for my cheat meal...3 big macs. 2 snickers bars. Box of cereal. 2L of milk. 1 piece of pizza. hahahahaha ya right probobly more like 1 steak with the fat instead of trimmed for me. hahahah

Current weight 200.9lbs.

Note. Today is low carb day for me. Not extremely low but low compared to the others. Im finding this schedule we have planned is working out amazing. Now training with 519muscle regularly and really upping the training intensity while still keeping the workouts low volume but higher intensity. Doing abs upper once week, lower the other time and noticing differnces already. Thanks everyone for the kind words. Im just being patient and letting it slowly take its course.

Agreed, don't be surprised if he's a little more vague on the details of the prep this year compared to last year. He'll still be posting up plenty of pics and sharing all his struggles etc.

Nate you hit the nail on the head. Last year i was cool with all the info. Its not like its some secret confidential shit but its between me and DK for the diet, supplement, and exact specifics. I did this as more of a log book for my progress and if you want to know the specifics is quite easy. Hire DK to do your show prep. All i will say is the program he has me on is incredible and hes a hell of a prep coach so far. Not that im trying to be secretive but in BB there are secrets and thus i wont give details out of respect for DK....

But pics will sure be uploaded weekly to show progress and keep ya updated no worries there.

What i can say is 100% of my natural supplements are from True Supplements NO BULLSHIT im not hired i wish i was that would be sick.hahah

FIRST **** UP. Not 6 days in. Not one deviation from the diet before now. Im talking not 1 thing period. Tonight i was so pissed and feeling like shit i cheated myself and my diet. Im allowed some greens but i had like a 2 cup salad with 2 tbs of 0 carb ceaser dressing (fat ass shit tho) and 3 crackers. I know it sounds bitch but **** i hate cheating and once i crack it seems like its easier the next time. IF i want to be succesful i gotta find a way around this shit or something to kill my stupid appetite. O well im gonna do 30-45 minutes of cardio tommarow to kill off this shit.

The best thing about this is you know it is a small cheat, the fact that you care no matter the size of the meal tells me you have the determination to crush your prep. The only thing left to do is go out there and do it!

Duder...come on, this is crunch time. Think of all the work you've done since your last show, and now
you're into prep for your second. Getting that first place means 110% dedication.as long as..my dient wasn't
anywhere near as long as yours will be, which is good because it gives you more time to get those hams
striated fully. My advice, next time you feel like life is giving it to you raw dog in the bum, think about how you
placed last year, and don"t justify cheating because you will "make up for it the next day".

Right now i have a bigger problem. My right bicep about center between my elbow and shoulder is red and swollen. It isnt bumped up but the area is red for sure. I couldnt sleep last night and its sore as hell now. Wondering if maybe i strained something doing back or its something else. Its not a bump its just sore and red. When i touch it it goes white and then back to red.

Arm not so good at all. Did a bi/tri workout today with 519 and still had 90% strength but the ****er is swelled up like a baloon. It looks like i have one peeled arm all veiny and then a pregnant womens arm on the other. But **** it. I am feeling way more cut up and want to take progress pics but when this arm heals up ill take em in fear of a viciuous flaming or embarrasment. Did the sensible thing went to the docs and got some anti-biotics. So gains will suffer but it just makes me more hungry. If this shit was easy and no problems everyone would be a IFBB pro so shit happens.

Diet took some adjusting too but now im all set and its going very very smooth for me.

Ive had some recent scares and roadblocks but i gotta say thanks to Dk for all the shit he has done for me thus far. Without saying 5 pages this guy is more than a prep coach. The dude is like Oscar Ardon is to KAi he is a mentor. Ya finding a coach who is well expeirnced and at national level isnt hard. But finding one as humble and down to earth as DK is is hard. I just show up where hes at and he drops everything to help me out and give me advice. He answers back my diet and supps question very very quickly. I think being on board Canadian Muscle Team with DK is truly going to make me be the best condition i can be onstage..

Also i highly highly recomend him as a prep coach to anybody who wants honest, no bullshit advice and a diet that he tailors around your life not through it.

Sorry for the rant but in the road blocks ive faced lately id be lost without his and 519 guidance and expiernce. Ill shut up now :)

Dk being Delt King. Hes my coach for the show this year.

And 519muscle from here. Hes been helping me out in my precontest training and we go to the same gym and share common goals so we train together so we have a spot and can go heavy. The bro is 18 years old and as strong if not stronger than me and it extremely well educated in BB training. Its about time i have a workout partner who actually pushes me as much as i push them. I hated carrying ppl when im trying to do a show but you need someone to help ya get those extra few reps.

Thanks for the props bro, i try my best to give the kind of service that i would expect for myself. Some gurus (not saying i am one) are pretty matter of fact that they aren't there to hold your hand and wipe your ass for you, they'll give you the info and it's up to you to do it and it's true the client needs to be able to get it done but there are personal approaches that coaches can take in order to help someone along to their goals realizing that the road won't always be paved in gold, helping someone negotiate those speedbumps in life IMO make all the difference in the world.
BTW keep up the good work Tav.

Hey guys. I had a moderate refeed meal last night and boy did it feel good. It was planned and not just a slip we have cheat meals every so often. But point is i felt so full after it. It was insane.

Morning weight today- 207.2

Not bad considering the sodium and water im holding from last nights cheat meal.

This weekend has been a nightmare witha bunch of bullshit going on but im glad to say monday morn im right on track. I didnt miss meals or training just one of those weekends were everything is all messed up. Had some trouble with that arm of mine all weekend and finnaly its better and back up to full potential.

Training chest today with 519muscle at our home base and just can not wait to get back at er.

No prob he sed that due to the freakishly large size of my penis the blood to the arm was being diverted to the penis due to the longevity causing an infection.

hahahah im sorry.

I was injecting my precontest "Vit. b12" into my delt and it may have went to deep due to bf percentage and needle length causing the oil to build up under the muscular sheath causing a pocket and injection. Not an abcess but the tissue was aggitated and swelled badly. Live and learn.

Wow man i thought my weekend was a bit overwhelming. Apparently monday is part of the weekend. I go to the gym to train chest with 519 now that im all rested up. Im feeling great warming up and then i doing some working sets and im doing incline db press. After i do about 6-7 reps with the 110s and do a slow negative i drop them to my sides and drop the weights. Its heavy for me although most of you would laugh at it. So i drop er down and a hero personal trainer just flips on me and starts calling me a tough guy and saying im paying for those weights and im kicked out of the gym. Long story short me and 519 some how managed not to get charged for murder. So we escape and steam pours out of my ears the rest of the workout. We finish it off good then we leave. I get in my car and im still like dude wtf is with that trainer douche. So i look down and i need gas. Im pissed cuz im late for my meal and need carbs asap. I fly into the local gas station and boom. I plough into a ****ing cement pole and **** up my front end on my car bad. i get out to look and geuss what. I lock my keys in the car and its running. i will spare you the rest im sorry for the rant.


YOU NO WHAT I LEARNED> TO JUST SAY **** IT. Its all just part of life and a lil karma and bad luck. all it is is fuel for me seeing the negative energy pull me down when im working so hard. But no matter what it cant stop me.

shitty f'in weekend/mon huh? tough lesson to learn - negative energy attracts more negative energy/circumstances. a lesson i've had to learn repeatedly, so i know exactly how you must've felt when the shit kept hittin the fan.

Damn bro, time to close your eyes and take a bunch of deep breaths. Try to relax a bit. Focus on the goals and just deal with the rest of the bull as calmly as possible. It would be easy to just flip out but then what does that accomplish in the end.

sucks about the car, but i think everyone who lifts heavy weights has run into the no grunting, no weight dropping jackasses. just feel sorry for their clients that have to do all their exercises on ****ing bosu balls. A few hours at a seminar, does not a trainer make.

Off day today from the gym. Feeling quite burnt out working as hard as i can lately. Just a night to sit and relax and try to recover. Im at 206 now and i feel leaner than ever. Vascularity is improved and overall just feel a lot tighter. Everyone ive been around lately has the flu. My gf, her baby,my parents and sister. So i def have felt myself coming down with something. Started with the sore throat and cough now today i just feel really weak and achey as hell. Just take a rest day and hopefully tommarow be back at er with a good nights sleep. Pics later on this week for sure when i can muster up the energy. :tu

Had a amazing change of events. Took a couple days off to recope now feeling great. some updated pics for ya guys. These pictures dont mean shit because there not any pose whatsoever. Last night was my Refeed meal. OHHH DAM. was it good. not out of control by any means but good.

Weight is at 204.5 after the cheat was 202 yesterday.

Feeling very very good lately and nailing the diet down to a tee this week. Been training hard but just differnt because i have been training at odd times because of shit that ive had to take care off. Went to a pt/act (phsyiotherapist) yesterday who i used to coop for at the Detriot medical center. I had soem back pain and a very tight mid back. She sed my pelvis and whole back was way way out of whack. After about a half hour she had me back in line and now i can do my lat spread even again and sit and sleep with no pain. IM amazed at what a physiotherapist can do. Changed my life i never thought my back was out of line.

Physicaly and mentally feeling 110%. Today is an OFF day so im going to rest up and take the world head on tommarow.

Weight steady at about 202 feeling very good and right on track. Havent deviated from the diet 1 cal for the last 2 weeks. Im really kicking this shit into high gear. 9 weeks to go and imgoing there to be in my freakiest condition to date and see what happens. Tonnes of competitors and ppl trying to sayim such and such bf at x weeks out. Ill be ready may 22 and thats all that matters.

Thanks man i apreciate that. I gotta keep the mass i have this year because im competing in the light heavies and ppl have much more years expierence. My offseason focus was getting bulkier and putting on tonne of mass and it worked OK. Kind of suprised that i got up to 225-230 pretty lean and still now at 200 look slightly bigger but thats part of the game.

I noticed yesterday the skin on my abs and obliques is getting really veiny and paper thin so its a good sign. IM sticking to the course not being to eager but not making any large mistakes. IF my health stays good and nothing crazy happens ill role right into the show.

I really ****ed up my cheat day usually I eat about 600g of carbs, 200g pro, and minimal fat.

The macros for the day was

5100 cal, 227g Pro, 1200g Carbs, 15g Fat.

1kg of pancakes, and that's dry mix!

Looked great today at the gym tho, swelled right up.

Think I will go completely keto for the next 2 weeks, until contest week.

I know everyone says to not look at the scale, and just weigh what you weight, but wouldn't it suck to weigh in at 188 while the water is still not completely peed out, and then wake up the next day at 182? talk about a "light" lightheavy...JMO.

Not sure if Shannon is doing nationals this year or waiting to MTL next year. He sways back and forth on a monthly basis lol Plus he's battling some elbow and shoulder injuries right now.

He's made some great improvements no doubt but he's a bit lazy when it comes to eating otherwise he could be so much bigger. He is consistent with the gym tho. NEVER misses a workout no matter what.

Not 100% but pretty confident. It typically follows a similar pattern. MTL, Van, Sask and repeat.

Actually, it might be in Edmonton next year...

If you are overall contention then yes, doesn't matter your weight. If you want to qualify for provincials, then the 5th place light heavy is usually better than the 5th place middle. But obviously that is not always the case. But in a big show like this, I would bet money the 5th place middle would not place 5th in light heavy. If qualifying means nothing and/or a troph, then by all means, don't worry at all! Makes 1 less thing to worry about!

As for me, I am making welter no matter what, which probably won't be too hard. I like making weight classes though. For me, its part of the whole contest experience!

I was pretty sure they weren't going to come back this way anymore until they could find a promoter and a location. Since Joe Spinello is only doing the Natural Nationals every year in Montreal now. If anybody knows different please chime in (Maybe Sean Summers might now)

I suppose worse case scenario is I don't do nationals next year, and perhaps wait it out some more, but if it means I would need to requalify, I may just travel whereever it is and get it done! Prep rolling around great. Feeling a little grouchy/agitated but im a whiny bitch when i have low carbs. But anyways had sort of a road block today. All my family and my GF were saying to me basicly dont do this show blah blah blah..come back to reality. go to college and all this. Im just living my dream right now and im happy doing it. IM just gonna rock this show and show all the ppl who doubt me that i can do it.

Last night was refeed and it was a little higher than usual. (dads Bday party) so i did some xtra cardio today to burn it off. JUst slight little cheats getting me down lately.

Weight at about 200 right on the button today. Reaching sort of a sticking point in my weight it looks like. But no worries still got some time to sort it out. Workouts going pretty well weights are still heavy as normal not much drop in strength except on lower carb days. About 8 weeks to go now id say.

Update for anyone following..

Weight at 199. Did some measurements for the first time in a year or so with the tape and was quite impressed for making some subtle improvements

Arms-both 17.2" cold
Forearms-13.5
Waist-34
Chest (around nipple line, not flexed)-46

Thats all i measured i should have done legs and calves. Oh well. Today is my 21st birthday and i gotta work till 6 then run to the gym and pound out legs...:bday..I wouldnt have it any other way tho :)

I know its too late to fix anything now as far as mass goes but ive really been consumed by these thoughts this week. What is it about my physique that i have to change to not just place but win my class. I know its the diet and hard training, supplementation etc. But what specifically would you adress as a main priority that is holding me back. MY genetics suck ass but its no excuse for not winning a level 1 show. I dont know how some of these competitors coming out of the woodwork do it. Ive been in the gym training seriosuly and doing planned offseason for 2+ years. I was up to 230 this offseason now im 198. And still i maintained the same ****ing look i had before. What to do.

I wouldn't say your genetics suck ass. You're barely in your 20s. What I would change would be muscle maturity. The only way to change that is to age. So just keep doing what your doing. Put on just 3 pounds per year until your 30 and you'll look insane.

the wrong attitude imo is to let it take over your life.. for me it just a lifestyle, obviously im gonna put in 100% to be the best, but im not gonna kill myself and give up the rest of my life to be the best.
just keep truckin.. last year i was 163 contest, this year is looking like 183 contest.. just keep it consistant. if u can keep making steady gains every year youl be set. if u need any motivation let me know, im not doing any logs but i can throw up some random pics

u do still need to put some size on but that just comes in time... i personally didnt even begin training until i was 19 and I waited 6 years until i stepped on stage... trust me ur way ahead of the game at this point

i have no doubt at all that ur conditioning will be fantastic come show time and that should be your only goal at this point... when offseason comes you will get a great rebound, be able to reassess your physique and then make a plan to pack on more mass and come back better with each successive show

this game is ALL mental... keep ur head on straight and keep focused

I know my back is shit but im happy with the way my lats are coming down lower. For me this is a big accomplishment. Ive always lacked the thickness but the lats inserting lower is huge for me so im pumped.

hey, at you're age I was under 140 on stage. Actually made it to under 130 for one show when I dieted away lost all my muscle. I should be mid 160s this time, 10 years later. It's all about time and consistency. Most people want to gain 20 pounds every year. You've actually almost done that this time...But from now on, be proud of the 3-4 you can gain from year to year.

Hey guys update. Tweaked my diet a little and things lately have been going great. Still at 199 but feeling more full and very very vascular. I feel personally that i could stand to get to to MAYBE 190ish but any less and im cutting myself short. I have a sea of veins under my lower abs and my legs/glutes are coming in great. So far so good and more pics to come end of this week. Stepping it up another level this week so we will see what happens.

make sure you get posing trunks that don't ride so low as you are wearing your shorts, as your torso looks too long when displayed with low riding waist band. That gives the illusion of being long and narrow, you want to look a little shorter and wider as possible

your side chest needs work, your thigh, hamstring sweep could be displayed much more to your advantage. Keep the legs together, press the the outer hammy out with the back leg, by using the front knee to exert the pressure and then crank that toso as far to the left as possible to look as wide as you can up top. someone will have to show you this in person.

Had my leg workout today with DK and it was insane. We really killed it and i picked up a lot of pointers on training and posing. Thanks again Dk for putting me through it and helping me along the way. Condition wise DK and I think im on track maybe slightly ahead but still ok. No dramatic changes just holding the course because everything seems to be working just fine. Definitly got some inspirtation from tonight and a lil fuel to keep me going here for the last 6 weeks. Its gonna be a hell of a ride.

5 weeks to go and im feeling very very good about this. Mentally and physically ive been feeling excellent. Had the norm rough days and tough cardio sessions but overall energy, pump, strength is good. Ive been roughly staying around 200-201ish morning weight before eating or drinking. My condition is improving daily. Abs and lower abs are out and veiny. Vascularity is the craziest ive ever had. My lat spread is drasticly improved. Ive been putting together my posing songs and rouitnes and getting that bs ready. This weekend im going to watch straty show and when i get back me and DK are going absolutly ****ing balls to the wall crazy. Kicking it up about 5 nothces. Im going to be at my best and im going to bring it. My mind is feeling very strong and my body the same. Ive never been in such a good mindset during a prep. Im actually having fun!

Im going to this show to win my class, not to fall within the ranks or knock it off my bucket list. I know in my heart that if i give it my all i can achieve it. When im done there will be no second geussing and wondering what i could have done better. Now is my time to make it happen and cut the shit.

Hey guys a little update.

Weight at 200.5

Been tweaking my diet and really nailing down my posing everyday. Feeling excellent considering how many weeks i have to go. Everything is going according to plan and im not far off from making weight as it is and id geuss im below 6,7% BF. Vascularity is good, pumps still good in the gym, cardio is a bitch but im not missing any sessions.

Minor setback today but im still training. I feel fine its just i had a minor surgery on my foot today so i may have to take a day off cardio and make up tommarow. Oh well better now than 1 week out!

After all the tries i just went to the docs and it was gettin real shitty. SO they cut off half the nail and fixed up my toe a bit. Hurt like a bitch. Call me a pussy but ill take a 1inch pin in my glute but 8 in the top of my toe. OUCH dam thing. I told the doc im afraid of needles. hahahaa :laugh

LM man your a down to earth guy and your arms are larger than life in reality. Seriously this year you know its CMT VS. LMT at the Missisauga. Like i was saying to Reinforcements what a kick in the ass of motivation to see that show last night. The quality of light heavies was very good and well worth a watch to gauge where we were at. Plus the TS booth was fun as hell and i think we still managed to laugh and keep good spirits even after 18h at that booth and 100s of samples gone out.

3.5 weeks out now. Weight was at 203 this morning after the rebound from my last cheat. Feeling strong in the gym despite low carbs. Had a hell of a chest workout tonight. :a+ Not much time left now just bringing it all in and sticking to the plan to a T. Holding a bit on my obliques and legs so i still got a BIT to go. Im getting real excited and motivated now.

hahahah this years mental game has been a lot easier. I learned a lot of what works and what doesnt. Last year at this point i was a hell of a mess. Anxiety, depression, lethargy, negative thoughts. Barely could even train. Total 180 this year and im loving it.

weight down to 201 now and the diet is getting really tough. Going into zombie mode but its all part of this game. Beating the shit out of my body into submission and the obliques and low abs are really really coming in. Cardio is still daily at about 35 mins but the fat just keeps shredding and no fat burners. Since i got back from stratford show the most ive screwed up on my diet is 8 extra almonds in 4 days. So im pretty focused and fighting the cravings for everything. Staying in a lot more at night and sleeping earlier to fight the hunger but its working great. Ill keep ya updated and take a pic tommarow after delt day.

24 more days!

Today my weight is 201, 202ish morning weight no clothes, no fat burners for 2 weeks. We all know pics are not the real deal but i am holding slightly on the lower abs, and slightly on the glutes. Obliques were a problem last week but since the deit became more strict with regards to amount of carbs (to not delvge into too much detail) there coming in very fast. I have the condition to get on stage in about 2 weeks but its nice to be ready early and then coast in then thursday before the show be freaking out. Realisticly for safetys sake me and dk agree i should get to abot 198. As of now im doing just a decent amount of cardio 6 days a week and keeping it real heavy and strict in the training...Prep is going better than i imagined and judging by my pics last year i put on 20+ lean pounds (178-202) so its been an awesome and effective offseason.

Last night from like 7-12pm was the hardest part of the diet i have had to endure. my stomach was growling and screaming at me for carbs. Im dieing literally. I stand at the cupboards and look at what i can eat just to tide me over. I pick something up and then think of the guilt and letting myself down. I throw it back and say **** it and im going to bed. Try to sleep but too hungry. All night i fought the urge to cheat just one slight bit. SO i chugged water and even had one pack of crystal light. It worked i didnt cheat.

So i go to bed and have a so so sleep and wake up this morning. Im thinking dam i was 202 yesterday and i had a low carb day, extra cardio, and i didnt cheat.

Weight was 204 :mad: I wanted to take the ****ing scale and throw it out the window! 2 pounds and not one ****ing cheat or differnce. Dont get it but its ok hittin legs today for what might be the the 3rd last time.

Just my weight is acting real funny but in the mirror im getting more peeled to the bone and vascular every day.

i find the scale is much more useful in the beginning of the diet when you cant see the difference in appearance from dropping from 15% bf to 14%... but later on in the diet who the hell cares, really?

would you rather your weight go down but you look worse in the mirror? i hope not!

your conditioning is very good at this point... if i may offer some advice it would be to stop looking at the scale from this point in, its totally useless

Hard leg workout tonight. Managed to make it through and give it my all and my heaviest. Still ploughed out heavy squats and hacks. Weights down slightly and cardio getting a little tougher. Not the best looking posing today but everyday seems to bring differnt things depending on the carbs, water level, sodium. One thing is for sure im ready to take a off day tommarow and rest my muscles and my mind. Overall very productive and satisfying week. Im going to celebrate by having a spinach salad :) LOL

i know this is not the place for this discussion but...Last night went out to do something with the woman to kill time and wsa fricken amazing. I seen the clash of the titans movie in 3D and despite being shy of 30 bucks for us it was the most amazing thing ive ever seen. First time in weeks i made it 2 hours without thinking about BB or food. 3d Movies are absolutly unbelievable and truly exciting im going to have to go catch one again what a good time.

A couple cups of baby spinach and some zero cal, zero everything dress and im full with basicly 1g carbs and like 40 cals. It helps me so much since i am dieing of hunger it really crushes the pains. Today is my OFF day from the gym first one in 7 days and im not even going to do cardio. Just strict on the diet and rest probobly sleep between every meal. hahaha.

Monday, may 3rd. 2.5 weeks out.

Weight- 204 morning.

Stuck it out in the diet yesterday and slept basicly all day to fight the hunger. Awesome rest day for my body and mind. Well rested now im going to make my routine today and practice posing. Then back to the gym tonight to hit chest hard. 2.5 more weeks and all the work ive put in this offseason and prep will pay off. Just trying to fight the mental game. Offseason and carbs galore im bigger and got about 10 times more veins. All carbed down and depleted im a little smoother i find but conditioning is getting better. Veins everywhere on lower abodomen and the fingers on the obliques are in. Just got to seperate them quads and hams now and i think if i let them heal and dont keep breaking them down with hours of stair stepper and 405 deep squats there fullness with come out like they did offseason.

couple cups of spinach would not even put a dent in my hunger or satisfaction! If my salad is any smaller than 4 pounds in weight, I don't consider it a salad!

Had a meeting yesterday with DK to assess my progress. We tightened up the carbs in the diet and manipulated some things i was doing wrong so far. Weight today is at 201.2 and im feeling amazing. A lot less bloated and all the obliques and quad seperations are out. Chest is fully striated and vascularity is wayyyy up. Posed last night at the gym and for once was completely happy and satisfied. 18 more days and im on that stage. Its going to get rough in the next few but im ready to hang tough because even as it is now i could hit the stage this weekend. But i need to get a little tighter still in some areas.

Upped the cardio a bit and dropped some cals and carbs in useless areas.

207<201.2 today! Cant complain yesterday was my best day in the prep thus far.:hu

Had a meeting yesterday with DK to assess my progress. We tightened up the carbs in the diet and manipulated some things i was doing wrong so far. Weight today is at 201.2 and im feeling amazing. A lot less bloated and all the obliques and quad seperations are out. Chest is fully striated and vascularity is wayyyy up. Aright..been training with DK a tonne and with his good buddy everyday and really starting to get there. I posted a new pic here you guys be the judge if its working or not :beer The cardio is high the carbs are low and im realll tired but its all worth it. 2.5 more weeks and im there!

I just wish i had some vascularity?!

Doing great lately, diet is killer but im pulling through. Morning weight down to 196 and legs are in. JUst booked my spray tan for the show and im pumped about that too so no worries about colour or any of that. Everything is playing out perfectly and as of tommarow ill be 2 weeks out! Dam am i excited. Tommarow is my last heavy heavy leg day with Dk and my training partner so im gonna rest up good and get ready to smash it out.

Cardio is def getting boring but not that painful. Ive done worse but for now 1h is not killing me that bad. Just gotta crank the tunes and think about something else.

Delt King has been the best coach and mentor in this prep. He is a stand up guy who has worked with me every step of the way and kills the weights in the trenches right beside me. I cant thank him enough and i urge anyone who needs prep help or diet help to contact him. Believe me it is well worth it and you will become the best youve ever been.

Hey guys 12 days out now. Im extremely bored and not much to do so dont mind my frequent annoying updates.

Weight down to the lowest it has been the entire prep and feeling very full at this weight. Yesterday was a cardio and abs workout with my training partner, new CBB member "THE WARRIOR". I convinced him to check out the boards so ppl be cool with him. Hes been around BB for over 10 years and really has been helping me when DK cant make it out. He also helped DK train for all 3 of his shows. SO make him feel at home here...I got the best group of guys beating the shit out of me in and out of the gym and everyone on here and at home have been very supportive and motivating.

I just want to thank everyone for taking the time and patience to read my log and bare with me while i finish this prep. I appreciate all your responses whether positive or constuctive criticism. CBB ROCKS! :fwave
