Hey All, i just registered with the site. I work out in my own gym, professional equipment, no dinky gimmiky weight machines... and i've recently put out an add on craigslist for a bodybuilding assistant. basically i cant workout alone, putting up some serious weight often brings me to a point of fitique and i dont much like 250lbs about to colaps over my head.

But i thought i'd see if anyone on here has done anything similar, maybe offer some advice, or if anyone would be interested in joining Club Executive, i'd be willing to talk details.

Do most of you workout alone at a public gym and then get someone to spot you? do you workout with a set partner? what yields the best results in your opinions?

Hey Pollox,

Actually i did put up an add on craigslist... im located downtown Toronto, and the gym i have although small (perfect size for three people) has everything. I basically bought a bankrupt commercial gym for next to nothing. I've been to goodlife but too many people and too many distractions for me.
Anyway, i've had some positive responses to my ad on creigslist which im a little surprised about.

Anyway, thanks for posting a reply and offering the suggestion.

I have to admit that I like the going to the gym right now. I spent the first 18 months in my basement and while my basement has everything I need and there are no distractions it gets boring.

At the gym I can watch pretty girls and stupid people trying to kill themselves. When I'm lucky a competent lifter comes in and I can actually see some decent technique.

A workout partner would be fun but my workouts are programmed and I'm not going to make concessions for someone else so finding someone who wants to do my workout YET is equally serious about training is pretty unlikely.

I'll probably go back into my dungeon at some point. The ymca allows 3 month "vacations" from membership fees. I will probably take advantage of this during the next New Years rush and try a 5/3/1 boring but big or a westside routine.
