Hi all

The journey has begun for the 2010 Mississauga South Central show.

I will be keeping a log of my diet here as the weeks progress.

As of Saturday Jan 9 i will be 15 weeks out.

I have been dieting for 1 week so far.


Delt King is prepping me and so far it is a bit different then I am used to my contest prep. Wish is awesome because I feel in the past i was loosing too much muscle before the show.
So far he has been awesome. Very Knowledgeable and always there when I have questions or concerns.
Check him out when you need someone for contest prep.


I will be documenting my diet, Training and updated pics


For reference I will post a pic now that was taken a month or so ago.

chest 43.5"
arms 16.75" Unflexes
thighs 28"
Calf 17.25"
waist 36"

dude I was 4.5% BF 183lbs as per the caliper test at my gym :p

ok here is my diet to start off with.


MEAL FOOD Calories Fat Carbohydrates Protein
breakfast Egg white, 4 serving
breakfast Shredded Wheat Cereal, 2 biscuits (1 serving)
lunch Broccoli, cooked, 1 cup, chopped
lunch Brown Rice, long grain, 1 cup
lunch Beef, eye of round, 6 oz
dinner Broccoli, cooked, 1 stalk, large (11in.-12in. long)
dinner Tuna, Canned in Water, 1 cup, solid or chunks
dinner Avocados, Florida, 0.5 fruit without skin and seeds
snack Brown Rice, long grain, 1 cup
snack Tuna, Canned in Water, 1 can
snack Asparagus, fresh, 1 cup
Post Workout protien shake, 1 serving
Post Workout Rice Cakes, unsalted, 7 cake
Bed Time Egg white, 4 serving

2185calories 42g fat 230g carbs 236g protien

Yeah, technically he shouldn't but in reality this is only the starting point of his prep and it is going to change so drastically by showtime that this diet will be unrecognizable. If it helps somebody in the meantime, so be it.

Well last night was back night.

Pain!! Pain! Pain!!


Gonna rant a bit.
Is it just me or do guys who wear wife beaters to the gym annoy you?
They walk around thinking theya re the shit yet their physique NEVER changes!!
Is it a status thing to go to the gym? Do you think you just look Ganster?
What the hell??

My buddy says it's "the area" we live in. everyone thinks they are ganster lol.

I went to the gym this morning at 7:30 am to get my weight done on the Super Duper amazingly acurate tanita scale! YAAAAAYYYYYYY

NOT!!!

Anyway as of this morning I am at 221lbs and it says I am at 14%bf. I think that may be fairly accurate. I am going to get the caliper test done soon. I will get it done once a month at least.


Workouts are going good. Diet is good as you can see.

not really. It's a useless metric for competitors dieting down for a show just as the scale is except the scale is a reference point to ensure progress week-to-week as pictures don't often change weekly early on.

As of today i'm sticking at 221lbs. Wich I am happy about because in my exp whan I have a cheat I bounce back slowly. Delt says i should be at 220-219 tomorrow... Fingers crossed :)

Belts tonight!! can't wait love delts!

The plan to compete has been switched to the Mississauga regional show one month later than the Stratfords, right Korilon?

I'd shoot for high end middleweight. Middle goes up to 187 right? Makes more sense that you'd be there, otherwise I can't see you ripped enough to be upper 190s.

I believe that middle weight is upto 176 and middle is upto 198.
That's how it was last time I competed. I was 183 and was in light heavy

Once at provincials middleweight is up to 187 but regional is 176.

I see...wasn't aware of that. they still have welter though right? I always thought the regionals had the same classes as provincials in order to qualify you in the right class? Or perhaps they just weigh you in, and get your placings "had they had the classes?"

I would think with the new level layout, that maybe they will have plenty of competitors to make all classes. Otherwise I might have a harder time in a weight class of 155-176.

edit: just checked, and I think with the new level system, they have decided that regional and provincial level shows will have all weight classes. not that it will change you're plans, but if it were me, say I was 1 pound over, it would be a small sacrifice to lose 1 extra pound of water before weigh ins to get into the lower class.

Down 22.5 lbs so far in 8 weeks and still a way to go for sure but everything is still progressing according to plan. 11 weeks to go. Turning it up a notch as we're turning the corner in the prep. Keep up the hard work bro.

I weighed in at 208.4 on sunday and 207.4 on monday and today i am at 206.2

Bouncing back ok I guess.
I am extremely carb sensitive and trust me I had A LOT of carbs on Saturday hahaha

yesterday mornign iw as 206.2lbs it was a low cal day so ate what i was supposed to and i weighed myself just for fun last night before bed.
Well to my suprise Iw as 205.0lbs!!! what the hell? lol

And even better......this morning guess what I weigh.... come on guess.......Nope wrong :p 202.0lbs!!!

wow is all i can say.

Delt man what are ya doing to me? :p whatever it is keep it up hahaha

Says I am at 9.57% bodyfat
185.3lbs LBM

my ultimately want to be 200lbs on stage. I know I'm far from that but that is where I eventually be :)

Well i started off at like 20 mins Post workout and went uip from there and ended with 45mins post.
I was gonna start 1 hour post but i got a bike for home and Delt told me to start 25mins AM and post.

can't believe it took a week to bounce back from the cheat. But I am off the fat burner for the last week. AND these pics suck! I look much better then they show. Abs are starting to come in, getting vascular and I gotta shave again lol :p

Well I started oof dieting at 237lbs.
When I started with Delt iw as 229lbs
Now i am at 203lbs

I got my caliper test done a couple of weeks ago and it said i was at 9.57 I'm guessing i am a bit lower then that at the moment. maybe 8.5 or 9???

I'm getting the calipers done again soon. maybe this weekend :)

well 7 weeks to go.

Had my last cheat for a lonnnnngggg time so made it a good one :)

All you can eat sushi :) with keylime tie and a few chocolates.

I think I'm s sushi addict lol.
And to think the first time I tried it I hated it lol

as of this AM I was 207 after the cheat meal.
Should go down pretty quick on the new monday diet.

Diet is working well.

same way in our house. we're both dieting now, and neither of us have really shown any signs of getting on each others nerves. We're about 10 weeks away still though, so it could happen later on...but in the past, we've both been pretty good until the last 2-3 days before the show, but never until then.

Getting lots of looks and comments at the gym.
I think i am the only person (except for leanmeanbikiniqueen) who has made huge changes at my gym.
It's funny to see people for like 6 monts working out and over that time they have made no changes. While I go from 237lbs to a lean mean 200ls and still going :p

Oh well at least i am getting my $$ worth at the gym.

I filled up a 4L bottle this am with 2 x 2l packets of kool-aid and it is almost all gone already and it is only 1pm


This stuff makes it so easy to drink lots of water!

I use a 500ml packet of crystal light in 1.5 litres. Tastes good enough 3x diluted, I can't imagine how powerful it would be as directed. I figure with the amount of water I drink, I'd die of aspartame poisoning if I were to drink as directed.

Feel bloated but it is going down.

1 coffee a day from now on.
Not sure what happened yesterday to make me drink so many but it was wierd.

I agree. I train at a GL as well and can assure you that there is a hella difference between how I train and the rest of the crowd there trains.

It sucks somedays because it would be nice to be in a gym full of people with motivation to haul ass and improve rather than workout to maintain their gluttonous lifestyle lol For once it would be nice to see someone else and use them as a bit of motivation for me on days when I'm lacking.

find your way over to walkley goodlife when I am there...Easy way to spot me is there will be 50 people in the gym section, and i'll be the only one training. And if I am not there, then the easy way to spot my wife is using similar logic.

I went to the 10th line one last weekend and was highly impressed. Not by the people but the facility was huge and nice! I will be going there again this weekend :)

This is the exact reason i switched gyms recently...have to drive 40 minutes further but then i can train in a hardcore gym with Fouad and Lou Joseph and a half dozen national level guys and another half dozen provincial level bodybuilders. MOTIVATION baby for my nationals prep, which is 16 weeks out now.

yep - its small. But since I moved from orleans to south ottawa, its the only one that makes sense for me in a busy day. I've been meaning to check the one out in orleans, but I have a feeling I will just be pissed that I moved away from orleans as soon as they get a good gym.

hey buddy sick meal yesterday how are you feeling. Im nice and smoothed out and about 5lbs up :(....Its aright now where back and it is officially balls out no holds barred prep time. I'm up about 5lbs also. pretty vasculat this am in the arms to lol. must be all that sugar from those blizzards :P

4 hours cardio this am lol :P

Ya these last 4 weeks are gonna be killer. gonna feel like shit for 4 weeks but gonna bust it out hard in the gym!!

Too bad we are not gonna be in the same catagory but hey we can sweep the catagories now :) Dominate the show lol


haha for sure man. when the new job finally get's finalised I think I have a week of vacation I can take before I start so I'm sure we can come up for a day.
Would be cool to workout with people who are into the lifestyle.

ususlly every 2 days or so.

i am from the east coast so i do nto tan well.

6-7 coats of PRotan and then im most definitly geting SS and his wife to give my the spray tan by "tan like the pros". Im going to contact SS at his sight to book it and he is very reasonably priced and does an awesome job. DO your dream tan or whatever and then get spray tanned by SS.

Dk said thats what he did one year and it looked awesome his best colour ever. So im going to try it.

I got my tan from them last time I competed, my client this weekend had them do it too... colour is super dark but looks great on stage and they are very professional

i highly recommend them!

Getting more vascular at least so i know i am bouncing back.
Legs are starting to see a bit more results. Must be the hour on the stepper mill :P

I think I am holding in my lower back. upper back is looking good so far but lower back and love handles have always been a problem.

Also legs are starting to lean out as well as my lower abs.

I am going to be 36 the weekend after the show so I store fat everywhere now lol

Me and DK are going to start doing psoing practice were we try and hold the relaxed tight for like 10 mins then hit the poses. Just to prepare for whats going to happen onstage you know?

when dieting, especially near the end, I find sleep near impossible...So I never set an alarm, because if I am lucky enough to sleep past a certain hour, then I sure don't want to be woken up by my alarm!

Today for instance, I slept in till 7am. I was so pumped to get a good sleep in, because both nights before I barely managed 5 hours each.

Feeling good today!!

Had an awesome workout and cardio last night.
Diet is getting hard :) But working well.

Wokup this am and looked in the mirror and was amazed how lean my upper body was.
Legs are catching up slowly :(
