You could always contact that guy here who was looking for a "boyfriend" and go down with him for free!

The place was fine: perfect climate (temperatures always between 22 and 27), fantastic sunsets, really good food at affordable prices (20% less than in Toronto), the beach was all right (you don't want to bring kids to old PV as the waves are too violent for children).

Strangely not a lot of fit people around.

Margaritas vary from cheap and delicious to expensive and bad.

Nightlife was non-existent for my taste.

I'd say a 7 out of 10.

The highlight was going to Yelapa:

Take the water taxi ($25o pesos/40 min ride) go to Rico's (tight side of the beach facing the ocean and ask for Yasmin, it is quieter, the chairs are very comfortable, not many people around and I had the best fish of the whole trip and really good service.

I went jan 13 for a week.. and i had a blast. 10/10
Weather was amazing.. Hotel was perfect. had a perfect mix of partying and relaxing.
Got to surf, body board, snorkle. Food was great & came back 10 shades darker! ( and a couple lbs heavier! )
Whats not to like??

Having the feeling that police you stop you plant some coke in your pocket in order to try to extort $$$ as they tried to do to a friend.

Seeing children having to work in order to survive.

People picking food out of garbage and living in the streets even though they want to work and be productive.

Glad you had a good time
