A buddy of mine that I went to high school with and two of his other friends created a website http://sportstalkbuzz.com/ (http://sportstalkbuzz.com/). Not too long ago they sold it for $3.5M. Now every ****ing day this guy is rubbing in what he is buying. Oh I just bought a house(no mortgage), oh I am thinking of buying a cottage(no mortgage), oh I just bought a hummer(cash), oh I just bought a $508 pair of ****ing jeans. Umm...knowing a bit about websites, how did he manage to sell it for 3.5m if it doesn't get much traffic? It looks like a portal site of RSS feeds converted to a blog post. Takes about a week to set up.
Someone is pulling your leg or he found a really rich guy that doesn't know what he's doing to buy it.
The guy that bought it is apparently some multi-millioner and saw the potential in the site. They had some good contacts and my buddy had some kind of contact with the UFC and was visiting all of their events and writing about them.
At one of the UFC parties he got knocked out by Chuck Liddell after his girlfriend and Chuck’s girlfriend got into it and he thought he should step in, so did Chuck, lol. He is not a little guy though 6'2" about 230+ and ridiculously lean for that size. Lots of AAS.

I dont buy it, that isnt even that good of a URL, you could buy a very similar URL and do anything you wanted with it for like $20.

I was gonna say the same thing, sounds like the guys friend is selling drugs or something.
Come to think of it he has a Masters in Microbiology and was making his own steroids back in the day, lol. I am not going to call him a liar but you guys might've hit the nail on the head.

Capital Gains tax is 30% in Canada. He didnt make out with half the money he wants you to think he has.

Well... you are right, but: There is something called a lifetime capital gains exemption. It is currently at $750 000 I believe and means that he only paid taxes on whatever is exceeding $750 000. ( unless he used it ealier)
Assuming he had smart advice, he probably could have avoided or at least deffered a portion of his taxes payable...
Well, to me that seems like some nice cash
If he is covering up illegal stuff.. he better report it on his tax return or the CRA is going to bust his balls..
