I read some where that Ronnie Coleman used to only diet for 9 weeks for every Olympia...so here we go. I obviously started a lot fatter than he would so I will extend the diet longer. But I am doing a high carb day every 12 days instead of every 7. Its working great! When and where are some shows I could enter this summer. I don't know what to do physique or bodybuilding. I am 100% natural. Been lifting steady for 4 years now and off and on since I was 12. 179lbs in picture

you have a long way to go bud....you have to put on a lot more muscle before even thinking about doing a show.....read as much as you can about proper diet for bodybuilding and keep on working out for another 4 yrs then post your pics

    best of luck

I also thought that, but remember he's posted in the past. I believe what he meant was in the last 4 years he's been training steady, but prior to that it was on and off since he was 12. Supernatural, are you ~28 now? The way I read it at first was that you were 16 years old as well, and in that case would have said the same - no competing for a while.

You've mentioned planning to compete a couple of times on this board. You've asked if you should do bodybuilding or physique. There is no right answer to that. Do what you want to do, not what you think you might place better in. In all likelihood you might place better in bodybuilding given the number of competitors in physique these days. Unless you have a natural talent for the type of poses and stage presence involved in mens physique. The diet is going to be almost as hard as a natural as you will get almost the same lean regardless of where you compete. At the end of the day, it all depends on what your goals are (competitive, vs just for fun) and what you want to do.

Why do you think I don't have enough muscle for the 175lbs class dieted down to 170lbs? That doesn't sound so far out of reach. Are the dudes that compete in the 175lbs class midgets or something.LMAO
