    Default Soaking Oats Before Eating?

Hey everybody, ran across this article. Tell me what you think of it, do you need to soak oats before eating them? http://www.highonhealth.org/why-its-...-you-eat-them/

Nonsense...soaking quick oats is useless as they have already been processed Now if you were talking unprocessed organic oats not the ones you buy at the grocery store than it makes more sense. I dont see it raising B12 however....so if you are B12 deficient then get some B12 injectable from the pharmacy and supplement with that.

Where do you buy your steel cut oats Sean? I was actually looking to get some and try them out but I haven't been able to find them... I heard they might sell them at Costco but we don't have one out in these woods.

Pretty much any grocery store. I think I used one called Irish oats. It came in a tub not a bag.

Bulk foods stores sell steel cut oats. In the better groceries will you find them in the "Whole & Natural" foods section, bags of Steel cut oats. Like gravel IMO.

If you are not a fan of long cooking grains don't buy them. Try 5-10 min cooking oats. Better yet..add in some oat bran too, to add more fiber and negate the carbs in your oats.

Oh ok cool, I'll try the oat bran. Something tells me I'm not getting enough fiber. If only they had Quest bars up here...

Quest bars do not provide any significant fiber period!
