not only what they're on... but how much
and more often than not their boyfriend told them to take it
I have seen this too. I didn't want to make anything about drugs which is why I only touched on it. I said the look they are going for is small and soft, which is perfectly ok. Had they decided harder is good, then that would be okay as well. Like I say, I prefer a look of slightly harder, or slightly more muscle which is why I tend to follow figure a bit more. Doesn't mean I don't know why or can't respect why the decision has gravitated towards a softer look. Its a shame some guys push drugs on females especially those who were really only interested in competing in bikini, or figure, or perhaps just starting out and is only a hobby for them. It isn't necessary to take drugs to look like the bikini winner. It's also not necessary to take drugs to look like nathalia. She's not huge, and that level of muscle mass is attainable 100% natural. So is the level of muscle that 90% of the top figure girls bring. I am not naive. I know that even though its attainable, many amateurs are quick to jump the gun. I also referred to these views in another post.

But what was shown on facebook makes me look like I have only 1 opinion, and that is I find muscle on a women unappealing. and that is far, very very far, from the truth.

I don't know you well at all. But yes, I feel as though sharing this and including my name and sharing it to multiple peoples wall on social media is kinda an attack. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who I am. My hope is that anyone who reads these posts can appreciate my love for the sport, as well as any athlete who competes in any division. I commented on the reasons why someone didn't place 1st when many people have asked 'why'.... I am only trying to clarify my thoughts as to why.

I've seen the multitude of facebook posts slamming any girl with even a line resembling an ab outline. people slamming DLB and nicole in a pic they took together, saying they look like dudes in dresses. I am sickened by those posts. This is what I fear has been interpretted by MY posts. Which on your facebook posts has begun to look like... One post calling me out saying i must not lift and my partner having a miley ass. This just shows the kind of person people might assume I am. I don't wish to be lumped into a group who detest girls with muscle. Obviously.

One more thing... this masculine vs feminine thing is silly. On the cbbf website it says physique girls should pocess shape, symmetry, muscle, etc without comprimising femininity. So what do they mean by that? I am not saying they are right or wrong, but the wording is there, and that in itself is confusing. what do they mean by femininity? what defines female beauty? If you go by the standard waist to hip ratio (what is it, something like 70% was proven 'ideal'?) then none of them should win. So masculine, feminine, technically they are all bad words, but you just hope no one takes them out of context.

I was actually told at a judges meeting once that bikini is typically by who is sexiest. this was in its early years. kinda hard to know what to do when 1 person finds x sexy and y unsexy, and the other judge is vice versa. It;s still in its early years, but I think with the introduction of phsyique, and its trickling down effects on figure and bodybuilding, we will see a further trickling down to bikini and that is to say bikini will remain softer and a look more based on pure genetics and less to do with work put in the gym to develop muscle.

Someone also wanted to know what i meant by women not being 5 time olympia champs in bikini as is much more common in bodybuilding (ex iris kyle). My point is that while possible, the sport is growing and you will see a whole lot more competition coming into it, and what I think will happen is the winner will really be the new kid in town. I could be 100% wrong, who knows. Its just an opinion. and if i were a betting man, I would bet on less likelihood of 5 time repeat olympia champs in bikini than in bodybuilding.

Ever take the time to look at her Q & A column ? I once wasted five minutes of my life and noticed that in fact it's not a Q & A at all. It's self promotion for her and her trainees. No one ever asks her for advice. No one gives a rat's arse.

If you do a quick google search on the matter, or just browse any forum, you'll come across similar threads talking about masculinity. People take offense to the word. We all have masculine and feminine traits. Many people use it as an insult, others use it to describe general characteristics of the body and or personality. Many women find it 'sexy' when their men have a sensitive side, or are in touch with their feminine side. Equivalently many men find it sexy when a women is in touch with their aggressive masculine side. So it should be taken as a compliment depending on the context. Many women are proud they have big arms. and for some, this is 'sexy' for others it isn't. Men and Women are born with 'male' hormones and 'female' hormones - but obviously because we both have the the same hormones in different quantities, I suppose how can you say testosterone is a male hormone *(of course, men have more test, so its associated for that reason alone). So if a women has hints of masculinity, that is something to be proud of if you embrace your own ideal. Some people are threatened by this, others love it.

The only thing I have strong opinions about is men or women turning into something they are not, or dislike for the sake of a judged sport. Nathalia is not one of those. She looks the way she feels is sexy and in doing has many followers. I don't think she trains in a certain way for a trophy. She trains in the way that makes her look the way she wants to look and give her the successes she wants. Because of that she will continue to be one of the more popular bikini competitors.

So what constitutes feminine vs. masculine traits? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I didn't intend for this to be a discussion about 1 individual in particular. My posts were about the results so I won't be talking about specific individuals in this thread. If anyone wants to continue the discussion, feel free to open a new thread. Although I have a suspicion the issue is over with.

You and your wife look great, as does Fitbody.

This can happen at any time, which is why it is good to be careful what you choose to write. The plus side may be that more people signed up because of Fitbody's FB post and will stick around and contribute. It got me signed back in.
