    pt of the day

    We are shaped by our thoughts;
    we become what we think.

"You are only as lazy or lacking in willpower
    as you think you are."

    In motion

When you're on a roll, keep going.
When you're in a slump, get going.
Get in motion and stay in motion.
The possibilities are far more powerful and more numerous when you're taking action.
If you're just sitting around doing nothing,
you won't be too thrilled with whatever happens to come your way,
    if anything.
When you get up and get moving,
    you can go any place
    and experience anything you choose.
Being patient is admirable but being lazy is not.
Be eager and persistent about taking action,
while being patient about letting the results come.
The way to have it done is to get up and get it done.
The way to live the life of your dreams is to bring it about with focused action.
Get the power of momentum on your side and keep it there.
Get in motion, stay in motion,
and live life on your own very best terms.

Other than Lee Haney I think Sergio was the greatest bodybuilder of all time, and if he was competing in this day and age with all the advantages in supplements etc he would be the current Olympia champ.

I agree about Sergio, gotta respect the guy with bigger arms then his head. Also one of my favorite is Franco, great bodybuilder but also a multi discipline athlete, pound for pound he's quite impressive, got my respect too. <

Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success.
When you do a thing, do it with all your might.
Put your whole soul into it.
Stamp it with your own personality.
Be active, be energetic and faithful,
and you will accomplish your object.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”

    Focus on results

Progress comes when you focus on results.
Progress happens when you visualize the results you desire,
when you expect those results, and then work to make them happen.
    Focus on results,
and you can figure out how to bring them about.
    Focus on results,
and you have a way to know, in each and every step,
whether or not you're making progress.
    Good intentions are nice,
    and sophisticated methods are impressive.
What really count, though, are the end results.
Any effort you undertake will use your precious time and resources.
Make sure you get the most value in return by staying focused on the results.
Don't allow yourself to remain stuck in mediocrity.
Don't fool yourself into thinking you're doing great when you're really doing not much at all.
Clearly and specifically define the results you seek,
    measure your progress,
and weigh each action, each effort, accordingly.
    Focus on results
and you'll get the very best ones.

Education of a bodybuilder is almost the Bible of bodybuilding or at least the new testament......Another great read is the original Pumping Iron with Corney on the cover....if someone doesn't come away with an understanding of what bodybuilding is all about after reading that book then there's just no hope....

i used to have the original "Pump Iron" on video
i lent it to someone and never got it back
now the ones they have on dvd are more a commentary of it as opposed to the actual original movie as it was
one day i will search for it on the internet try to get it back

    every contest prep i watch
"Raising the Bar" with Dave Pulcinella
and "Pumping Iron" (yah the newer one i got it i still watch it lol)
