^ I know exactly what you mean... Although, to be fair, Baily Shuck wasn't at the show, and had she been there, she quite possibly would have been a clear winner. The sport is evolving though, and yes, her size may in fact end up being too big for the direction physique is going.

Same could be said with how figure started. Bigger girls were winning, and it slowly has gone down to a sleaker look, at least in the states. I would never expect there to be an early clear understanding of the sport and the way it will head. But I think no one did - and that's why early on you will have so many different types of physiques going through to the pro ranks, and eventually some of those pros will end up not belonging.

The bigger question (at least in my household!) is how this might effect figure, if at all... I would have hoped that with the introduction of physique (which was supposed to be be the more muscular figure girls) you would see a trend for figure to reward smaller girls, and the trend of the bulky figure girls turning pro in canada would end. However, I have a feeling this will not happen. It seems to me, physique is what I would call a figure girl who is about 6 weeks out from being in shape!! (ie, a figure girl without definition, but who holds fat well enough to not look 'fat' on stage). Honestly, thats fine if that is where its going, there are so many classes for women, the only important part is for consistency - for the sake of the people involved in the sport. With that said, you really can't compete in a female and expect too much...hope for the best, look what appeals to you and do the division you feel that fits right for you. If you really have no preference, ask the judges what they think...
