    Default Post lift leucine

    So I'm taking about 6-8 grams of leucine directly after working out and downing a shake when i get home 20mins later. I have yet to have any DOMS after this supplementation. Before you ask I am training very hard and doing both short (5) and longer rep ranges (8-15) depending on the workout and no soreness. Does anyone have any similar experiences with this?

    I have been experiencing with Leucine and BCAA's for about 2 years. I have found that BCAA's are better than Leucine alone and that 1 tablespoon before and after training seems best. I have tried many protocols including supplementing all of my 6-7 meals with extra leucine to activate the MTOR pathway.

    The results weren't impressive, Leucine is highly in insulinogenic and I found it just made me fatter.

    Best results are before or during training and right after training and BCAA's seem better than Leucine alone IMO.

    Now that Leucine is becomming more main stream the price of it has doubled.

    Been experimenting with both BCAA's and leucine and they both seem to work for me. It is not a drastic effect but I seem to accumulate muscle a little faster while taking them. Was taking pre and post workout for awhile and that seemed to help. Right now I am taking Leucine 6-7 grams with every meal. Been running it for 2 weeks like this now. Hard to tell with the short time period, but I do not feel that it is leading to any fat accumulation so far. I still get sore after workouts though. Had a squat session last week that left me walking funny for 4 days.

    Must have been a fluke because my traps are killing today. Like you said Thorgrim it provides a little benefit that I a think would be easily ignored if you have experienced the rapid growth that steriods can promote.

    I use it religiously Pre work out with BCAA. Makes me feel more solid in the gym if that makes sense. Just a nice amount of energy. Never used it PWO or ED so i cant comment on it in that aspect
