What do you think?
Depends on where a person is in their training career
I lost 20 pounds...How? I drank bear piss and took up fencing. How the **** you think, son? I exercised.
Everyone is different , but I would say if a person gains 5lbs a year they are doing good.
Personally I started at 165lb a long time ago, but in 2005 when I did a bodybuilding show I was 215lbs at 9.5% ( dieted down to 170).
Since then I have made the switch to powerlifting and I now weigh 245lbs , maybe 14-15% bf (best guess).
This is being about 75% stricked with my diet and training.
I do agree with Nate because I prob went from 165-185 my first year trainingit gets harder the more advanced you become. I think I could gain 20lbs of fat in a year without trying very hard

In my years of training i think i've done pretty well.Stayed natural all along. Always had very good eating habits, been athletic, keep very active.And....I'm far from any 20/25 year old BB ;-))
I agree with that video, i'm pretty sure he is talking about going from NO training, EVER, to then training 3-5 years. We all know huge gains can be made when a person first starts lifting, not to mention if they are squatting and deadlifting! Most people if they are athletic and lean with no weights I would say are like 170lb, average height too. If gifted at normal height maybe 185 11%bf doing nothing other then cardio. 30lb on that is 215 11%.. Doable I would say. I could see average people putting on 15lb on their legs alone, not to mention lower back thickness just from squats and deadlifts.
Age is a big factor too. I put on 50lbs (maintaining same bf) over 5 years. I'm glad I started as a teen.![]()

I went from 130 at 6ft to 200 at the same height natural from the ages of 17-20. Am I a freak? Not at all, there could be factors with puberty in there also. I was the hardest of the hard gainers when I started and as weak as a girl. My theory is most People who train eat like pussies.
I have been training boxing for the last couple of years and now I hover around 170. I started doing MMA recently and decided to start bulking again. I gained five pounds naturally in a week. Probably gained mostly water, but I bet I will be back up to 200 in the next couple of months, then it shall be juice and t-3 time.
