The rankings are a joke, money and politics is all they are.
BJ had to be the #1 before the Edgar fights, shouldn't drop out of the top 10 because 1 guy has his number.

IMHO Overeem should be higher than 7 too...... He ****in destroyed Rogers, threw him around like a bitch. I'd really like to see him in the UFC or against Fedor, guys a wrecking ball.

I would like to believe Overeem could pass a real drug test. But too bad, neither Fedor or the UFC fighters are ever likely to meet him.

No chance in hell he'd pass a drug test lol.... maybe they tested after the Rogers fight?
I'm thinking that most of thouse guys are on something, I even read last week that Dan henderson is on HRT just like Sonnen claims to be.... Overeem looks like a juice monster though lol, guys like 270 with world class striking, he just won the K1 again last week.

He was tested before Rogers fight. He's clean. I mean, his results were clean.
Plus, he's always trying to fight Fedor or Werdum in US, so he's not afraid of drug testing in US.

edit: He weighed in at 120.9kg or 266lbs in his documentary (right before the K1 final)
So, he's still smaller than Carwin or Lesnar. Both of them have to cut about 10lbs to make 265. And they test clean.

Basically, I can't wait to see him fight anyone in mma.

Overeem fought at 205 once upon a time, didn't he?Fedor's manager says Overeem is a steroid monster or something to that effect, which is why Fedor won't meet him.The passport deal that the British cyclists have adopted really is the only answer,I believe it creates a profile with history.A German doctor first proposed this more than twenty years ago,he's mentioned in one of DiPasquale's books, but nobody wanted any part of real drug testing.Russian roulette at the moment.

Overeem's put on a ton of muscle in the last few years, don't know exactly what weight but look at his older fights on youtube.

I agree current testing is a joke, I saw an interview with Victor Conte and he claims he can beat just about any testing Olympic Style included with no problems. I also saw an interview with Chieck Congo and he claims 80% of MMA guys are using. The current urine testing post fight is an absolute joke, kinda makes me think the organizations are somewhat in colusion kinda like baseball in the late 90's or wrestling in the 80's.
I really get a big kick out of how many guys will vehemently defend Manny, and try to claim his innocence by promoting thats he's never failed a test.... a urine test post fight lol...... The ****ing guy turned pro at about 105, now he's chasing down and beating down guys @ 150 +.....

MMA Top 10 Rankings: Jim Miller Working His Way Up At 155

The latest MMAWeekly.com World MMA Rankings were released on Wednesday, December 15. This system ranks the Top 10 MMA fighters from all across the world in each of the seven most widely accepted weight classes.

Taken into consideration are a fighter’s performance in addition to his win-loss record, head-to-head and common opponents, difficulty of opponents, and numerous other factors in what is the most comprehensive rankings system in the sport.

Fighters who are currently serving drug-related suspensions are not eligible for Top 10 consideration until they have fought one time after the completion of their suspension.

Fighters must also have competed within the past 12 months in order to be eligible for Top 10 consideration unless they have a bout scheduled within a reasonable time frame.
