    social media is a marketing tactic and a strategy that I'll recommend to clients therefore one should *know* about something before they advise or recommend it to others.

    Something you types wouldn't know about since people hired for uselessness rarely have any education or experience to do their job and instead are sent on employer funded training courses to teach them how to do their jobs.

    Social media goes far beyond marketing tactics, just ask any developer who was/is employed by Facebook.

    Facebook was great in the beginning for keeping in touch with distant friends, but over time it evolved into a monster. MSN is just a time vampire, so I'm off that thing. I'm 90s old-school: e-mail and phone. Simple and effective.
