Baby coming on this end, hence me sticking around. Benefits means more. I can always slide my pension back over to the CF pension seeing that I am eligible once again as a Reservist. However with something more important than me in the picture keeps me here...for the time being.

Now I just need to pass my fitness test (I hate cardio and I'm dealing with a L5 sprain) and finish up my course this summer, I should be able to shop for some full time contracts within the Reserve CF until I manage to convince my better half that going back to the Regular Army is where it is at.

Time will tell in the end.

BMQ in my case was 15 years ago. And it was QL2 Basic Recruit back then.

I did it all in Petawawa in the reserves and then I transfered to 1PPCLI.

Back when it was hard...lol, no shit. I remember being punched out by my instructor on my Infantry course and then when I was teaching on an Infantry course in 96/97, I had my troops out for an extra drill lesson after dinner, I got "caught" swearing at them...that cost me 2 weeks in the fishbowl on duty. 2 days later I got "caught" again putting them in the push up position (me with them) and counting off 25 slow ones...and that cost me another 2 weeks in the fishbowl.

The army got really soft at the end of the 90's. It seems to be improving now, however the PC shit still prevails.
