I'll agree to most of this. Although I like the look of the bikini winner. 4 divisions for women, so there should be a spectrum. Melo would be good in figure so they got it right. However Nicole Wilkins would be good in physique so they got that wrong. Just a young pretty girl with absolutely flawless skin, fat in the right spots that barely moves. Which is pretty much what they chose. With that in mind, you'll never have 5 time bikini champs, because in 5 years they will be too old to sustain that look. Look for the ones turning pro this year to possibly be top 3 next year in most pro shows. And same every year after that. FIgure, a step up. Girl that has flawless skin, pretty, same as bikini, but now put them in the gym deadlifting, squatting and benching. No drugs. Physique, another step up. Pretty, gym as hard as a bodybuilder, but still sexy and feminine. No drugs that make your face too manly. Bodybuilding, anything goes - but trying to look like a woman at least a little.
On the guys side of things, Flex by a mile. he looks like a trophy. Always been a fan and don't know how he has ever lost in the past - especially to guys like english... Phil won by quite a bit, but his abs are weird, and I am not sure he will continue to win year after year. A new guy will emerge. Ramy would win if he got crazy lean. But the sport becomes a 'game' so to speak. Nicole wilkins I think won not because she was better than Erin, but she was better than herself of the past. People always talk about how soft they are, and then they show up in shape and no one stops talking about them. Just look at roeelly winklar - never showed up good until now and everyone keeps talking about him now. not because he looked good, bbut because he looked better than before. So who knows, maybe Ramy is playing the same game. Show up next year looking insane and then everyone talks about him.
Men's physique, what can I say. I don't know how they judge it yet. Normally I talk about how stage presence will determine the champs the more subjective the sport. So I guess Mark had the best stage presence?? Certainly the most unique stage presence, but I dunno... I thought the 2nd, 5th, and 6th place guys were better. Sadik too big if you ask me, at least in his back.
