So...what a weekend, geez. These girls made me pose my ass off!
So happy of the outcome, we learned a LOT this weekend.
Firstly we learned I need a long time to dry out. I cut my water around 4 on Friday and was still peeing at the night show.
I only carbed up moderately before prejudging and looked a little flat. After a major carb up before finals I looked tighter and fuller (could have been the water going away too though).
The most important thing we learned is that posing wide and hard is very important for me especially for my legs!
Now I am going to have to burn off the junk from the weekend and start depleting again starting next week. I am a little scared of a rebound but I think I might be ok. Weight is 134 this morning, my stage weight was probably 125 (no scale with us this weekend but I ws 127 thursday morning). I'm definitely holding a film of water but it seems under control. We'll see what I look like tomorrow but I was never really dehydrated so I am thinking it won't take long to drop this water.
The show was so fun and that was by far the hardest I have ever worked onstage! At the Atlantic Classic they make us hold our poses a LONG time, rediculous long, trust me. If there was ever a good warm up show, this was it. My guess is Nationals will be a breeze compared to this one.
All in all I am a very happy girl. The improvements in my lower body are very obvious (thank you squat rack!) and my great off season shows. Happy, happy.
I saw the pic below after prejudging and almost cried. A few short years ago I could only dream of that photo being me! After that, didn't matter what I placed, I had already won! Thank you to Muscle Insider for the great pic's!
