Can't find a place to put this post so here goes, do most or all of you use a scale to weigh your food, or do you eye ball it?

I used to weigh it way back, but after doing it for long enough I got pretty good at just eyeballing it

I weigh it EVERYTIME to the gram exactly
i f you re going to follow a specific plan it only makes sense to be accurate. your eye ball is not good enough if you re serious.

Steve and I never weigh anything. After years of practice eyeball works good for us. I occasionally measure things like salad dressing and other condiments that are tough to eyeball while pouring out, just to be sure I am not overdoing it.
I am in the Military and posted to Ottawa, my wife and kids are still in Halifax. Having lots of free time I can drink a crap load of beer or do my best to look good for the summer. I guess that means weighing my food. I picked up a scale just officially weighed my first 4oz of chicken breast. I am not in terribly bad shape but in 6-8 weeks I will post before and after Pics. Biggest thing for me will be no beer on weekends, I really like beer. So thanks for all the input and a-weigh I go. Pun intended.
Some people get a little narcissistic about things and weighing foods one of them. If you have no idea what 8oz of chicken of beef looks like then sure why not, and to figure out how many ounces cooked yams equates to yeah. But offseason you can eyeball it if you have a general idea, its not going to make or break things. Pre-contest, what a little extra chicken breast? lol. BUT I would measure and weigh the carbs when dieting because those are most likely what your be keeping your eye on.
