I know the FCPAQ and the CBBF require you to be clean for 5 years.

I understand lifetime naturals not likeing ex-juicers competing againsn't them but maybe they should ask for a seperate federation for lifetime natural.

Honestly, once you have been off for 5 yrs the benefits form the gear are gone. Have you seen Kevin Levrone unveiled in his comeback? Sure he looks better than last year and great for a natural but he looks more like an underwear model then an Arnold Classic winner. He has about 40-45lbs of lean body mass less and he has one of the best genetics in the world.

I don't understand why people would compete in natural shows and try to beat drug tests, its the stupidest, most unethical thing I can think of. Why not just do regular shows?

Some ex-juicers decided to stop gear years ago, they stop for legal reasons, long term health concerns, change of priorities, etc... I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to compete as naturals as long as they have waited out the 5 yr waiting period.

I like Greg's post, sooner or later you just have decide, you are doing this to have fun. It's all about who shows up that decides who wins or loses.

I am a lifetime Natural and 52 and I am damned proud of myself for what I have accomplished. My goal? It's like Greg said to improve. At my age that is a hell of an accomplishment.

All that being said, I have nothing against those who juice. I respect their decision and hope thay respect mine. If a juicer comes into my show, which we all know they often do, there's not a lot I can do about it. No sense sweating shyte I can't do anything about. I wish they wouldn't but that's not the reality of it. If you have to cheat to get a trophy then I kinda think that maybe juicing is not their biggest problem... So maybe we should just feel sorry for them..

Oh and for the guys that do, we know who you are, most of you aren't fooling anyone.

I personally don't believe that most olympians are clean. I have known several national level and olympic level athletes and they are all on stuff.

I remember reading an article, trying to dig it up, where they asked olympic athletes if they could take a drug that would guarantee a gold medal but would shorten their lives by 10 years, an incredible 90% said they would.

The whole natural thing is kind unrealistic to me. a 20 year old man against a 40 year old on HRT. Is the 40 year old still natural, not in my opinion.

My uncle competed in the natural worlds in greece several years ago and I was blown away with what some of the guys admitted to taking backstage. My uncle is scared to take caffeine or creatine, I guess some guys are just oblivious to what is going on around them.

It's really sad, when a group of people start using it really forces the others to follow if they want to be competitive. I know a lot of people would stay clean if they felt that those they were competing against were clean also.

That is very sad... If they are so concerned with an even playing field why don't they just compete in non-tested shows?

The reason I am natural is for health and legal reasons. If steroids were legal and 100% safe I would be using them no doubt about it.

I really don't get it... Why else would you compete as a natural?

I really, really need someone to explain this. Is it because they want to feel morally superior to juicers?

Is it simply because they want to win at all costs?

I think for most it comes down to a moral issue based on legality (silly in my opinion) or for health reasons either legitimate or based on fear.

It's definitely health concerns for me. I have a very strong HPTA and don't want to mess with that just yet. There may be a day when HRT dosing is something I would consider. Of course I would use them if they were legal and safe. I use herbals for that reason.

Who says those herbals are safe? Many a product have been developed believing they were safe only to realize through extensive study and research that they aren't.

I agree. Pharmaceuticals go through WAY more testing than natural stuff.

People waste their money on so much crap hoping for potential benefits and always forget about the potential risks.
War only has rules for the loser.
