Met the owner of Plenty of Fish, kind of a nerdy guy who started the site up as a project for school. I think he was studying HTML or something. Anyways created the site and the thing just took off. Now he's having problems trying to update the servers, but he is also a multi-millionaire so I guess its a fair trade off.
He mentioned that most users have 2.3 dates with the same person and that he gets approximately 600 new users a day. The advertising pays for all the expenses, so now he sits back and collects the rewards.

He is based out of Vancouver right?

Did he have the money PRIOR to the site, or has he made his millions after the site?
I am wondering because he claims to be a one man operation and that he covers all the costs....but now that it is HUGE, as you said, he gets paid advertisers and so one.

He's done well, that's for sure Wonder what the success rate would be for others who'd follow similar steps would be?

I had 2 ****ING BAD experiences on POF talk with a chick online her pic looked great, we chatted ..she said everything I wanted too hear... she worked out , eats the right food , flirty and a great person to talk to..So after a couple weeks of talking on the phone we met....MOTHER OF ****ING GOD. the chick looked like a baby hippo...she was 5 feet tall ,had no neck her third chin went from ear to ear ...I was ****ing ****ing furious , I couldn't bail I was already sitting down in the pub waiting when she came up to me...So I sat there...
