GeniSoy was founded in 1997 after MLO began manufacturing isolated soy protein products for institutional research studies investigating soy's health benefits. GeniSoy uses only water processed isolated soy protein from IPP Certified, non-GMO (non-genetically modified organism) soybeans. Water processing preserves the naturally occurring levels of isoflavones found in soy (genistein and daidzein). Research has demonstrated isoflavones' antioxidant properties and numerous studies have demonstrated soy's ability to reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering blood cholesterol. The majority of these studies used the same isolated soy protein found in GeniSoy products.
