I own a store, so that takes my days. I was thinking of bouncing Saturday nights. Might be able to let off a little steam from time to time as well as meet people.

I have met women all over the place---pumping gas, at a bank line up....sitting at a pub, ---but I have also had GREAT success on line.
I also bounced in the past, mainly for fun---**** I loved those days :D but bouncing is trouble and is money not needed.
The on line thing can be interesting depending on how you look at it, and it certainly has a diverse and wide potential....well no matter how you look at it.
On line IMO is probably the best way and in some senses it can be fun also.
I have played with on line dating since 1.5 years now...I have been VERY fortunate.
My final word is: Be objective and open minded about the on line world.

the best girls you meet WORK at the bar, they dont come to the bar. i met my girl there 1.5 years ago and were still together. bartending females are usually hot and you will get to know them if you work there.

If I can jump in this. I can't tell you how many friends I have who have been duped by men who say they are single and have wives and girlfriends at home. Honestly living double lives in the same city.
This worries the hell out of me, that I may cause some other poor women some pain by texting her husband with out knowing he is married.
How do you tell if she is forthright? See if she will invite you to her place or openly call her at random times etc?

As far as expecting things to happen really fast? I did a lot of work on myself last year with a Dr. Psychology...she built a personal profile and helped me through a few personal issues, most from my past, we both brought the word: EXPECTATION to life---taught me a lot, specially when it comes to relationships and or relevant.

I met my current ummm lady friend (wouldn't exactly call it a relationship... she has committment issues lol) on plentyoffish.com. When I moved to Ottawa I came here knowing absolutely no one (still know very few people) and I am not one for getting social with people at the gym.
Anyway for shits and giggles and because a few buds back home dared me to I created a profile on there. One day I get a message from this woman who asked if I trained at such and such gym. She looked somewhat familar but wasn't sure because I do not pay attention to people in the gym. Well I replied and I guess we're going on 8 months of being a bit of a "thing" together.
Sure wish she could get over her commitment issues because it is entirely possible she could be the one. Love the same food, music, sports, working out, etc, etc, etc, etc. Awesome fun to be around and just chill with. My best friend if you will. Only time will tell I guess.
Anyway it is possible? Absolutely. Seems very odd for sure but definitely possible.
I am a very social guy but I am not the type to walk up to women in a bar or wherever and just start a conversation. So outside of the usual suspects how at our age of 32 can you meet people? It kinda sucks actually. Easier for women than I think it is for men maybe?

I've met a few girls online. Some worked out, some were a nightmare. It's still worth a shot if you're bored and on the computer. Just take you're time to make a good profile, not a short little 2 liner.

Working at bars is a funny situation if you're looking for romance. I've worked the door a couple of time, and both times I was in a relationship. I'd get girls throwing themselves at me once in a while, and it was good for my self esteem... BUT... they were not the kind of girls that I usually like to get involved with. I kind of felt like, if I'd been a single lonely guy, I would have got caught up in a fun but ultimately dissatisfying and maybe even regrettable experience a few times.

There are hot chicks everywhere, gym,stores,etc. when you see one smile at her if she smiles back, say something, if shes into you it wont really matter what you say. Women love confident men who can apprqach them.
