Hey guys,
A little about me to start. I'm a 6'3, 250 lb natural bodybuilder (32). I compete in UFE, IDFA and Fame, and plan on venturing down south to do INBF soon. I just missed earning my pro card during my last comp season. Broke my hip a couple years back and lacked a little in my leg area, specifically glutes and Hams. Have gone leg crazy in the gym and have corrected problems. I also have chrohns disease and and osteolysis of my right distal clavicle, also known as bodybuilders shoulder however not from lifting but from a car accident. Cortisone has kept me in the game since surgery is not on option. I am now sponsored by weider and am the guy on the left side of the banner.
You can see some vids of me on youtube, curtegriffin's channel, if you're interested, my bio will later be posted on the weider.ca site soon.
I've done all my training and dieting by myself as more of a corrective issue to my battle with chrohns as I refuse to medicate (i've had 6 inches of my large intestine removed). I'm also a certified trainer and nutrition and wellness specialist.
Ok now the situation, I'm about to finish my as i like to call offseason bulking. I'm currently 250-255 depending on water consumption. I plan on decreasing my carb intake gradually but not too dramatically over time as to keep my size (replacing with fats), last year I withered away too much as I hardened, from 240 I dropped to 225 pre contest and weighed in at 212. I was wondering if anyone would suggest the best fats to replace my carb intake. Right now my options as I see it are olive oil, macademia nut oils and cod liver oil or krill oil. But I hear that some of the ratios of omegas are not quite as suitable to a natural competitor and also that some would be better than others based on my stomach condition? I see that there are some really knowledgable people on these forums and would greatly appreciate any input or information that anyone can provide!
Thanks in advance.
