good to hear there will be a couple mods added soon. I think it will help keep some things in check when needed. I'm sure whoever MP picks will do a good job

Just what we need... a member with no sense of humour, that will shit the bed on the daily, being Captain Bringdown so none of us have fun...

I can guarantee you I will NOT be mod here... I am modding 3 other boards already and do not have the time... I also am well aware of the fact that I am not popular with some of the more protective members here... the old school guys who know me are fine, but these little guys yelling "this is our board! I dont want no strangers runnin it" hate me. It would be stupid for me to even bother.

Could it be that a bunch of people see you as someone on nexus who was in a trusted position at one point and told everyone that empire bunk gear was.. gtg?
Perhaps they do not want that stigma associated with this board.

There was no indication in your comment on humility that it was a joke. BTW my comment was not directed specifically at you. If your "no sense of humor" comment was directed at me, please take the time to read some of my posts. I crack me up sometimes. :)

Well, considering I was only mod there for a short period and, during that time, I used almost exclusively Empire gear, how do you figure I swerved you?

I havent used Empire in just over a year but NEVER had a problem with it. I would bet money that you didnt get it direct from Empire, did you?

You tell me to read some of YOUR posts??? Why? I didnt make an accusation, you did. Read some of MY posts. For someone with more than double the posts that I have, you mustnt read the board that much... I have posted quite frequently lately and my sense of humour is very apparent.

I'm thinking the cycling of mods is what will solve the problems with unliked mods. But please, one thing we must all understand is that CBB is all our board. It is the perfect name to be found by totally new people searching google. It brings in a lot of new fresh faces. MN got really hard to promote after the busts. CBB is clean and runs smooth. I just need help with monitoring threads. Politics is something that will not be part of CBB.

I moderate every single member that signs up here. That was the only way to stop the crazy amount of spam bots. That means I have to pass here often during the day to moderate new accounts. Some mods can help me validate new members and get the board flowing.

And for the record, when I used Empire I was happy with the results. But it was way back in 2004-2005 so I can't speak about the more recent stuff. BDH was a good mod on MN and a great asset to any board. Just as the rest of you are. I hope we can move forward and get CBB to be as big, if not bigger than MN ever was.

Firstly I think BDH has a right to be proud of himself (thats different from being full of himself) because he has accomplished more with the use of his body and training than most people on here have. I also find BDH to be very diplomatic although opinionated he is smart about how he gives his opinions. Sometimes the truth hurts. Mods are not here to baby sit or pamper your feelings. They are here to ensure a level of order is upheld. I for one am looking forward to the new mods starting. I don't really give a rat's ass who is mod, as long as they are fair, diplomatic and don't play favorites. I know, from being in MP's position that can be a very daunting task to accomplish sometimes with moderator selection.

Mr Freeze and Gustavo are the first mods. I have to set up the access rights correctly for the usergroups and they'll be brought on for 3 months. After their term is over, I'll bring on another 2 and so on. We'll see how it goes and adjust as needed until the board runs smooth.
