Yes in Gatineau, I'm already 10-15 minutes away from the one in Gatineau, wouldn't have time to make it to Ottawa. Rumors I heard was he's paying about 50K in rent for the one in Ottawa, does that make sense? IHow could you ever make any profit with such overhead? It used to be a lot better in the past in Gatineau, now it's basically a fashion show with people talking on their phone hogging spots. Was fun when they had the Hugo Girard, Dominic Filiou et Jessen Paulin around. Damn impressive the see those beasts in action. Saw Girard pull a 850+ squat way back, that was something else.
Wrong dude Stunna, we don't know each other, just thought the gym in your video looked cool.
Sure is! Literally a couple G to do it right.
A plane ticket out of Vancouver was $620. Car rental $200. Fuel $100. Hotel $350. Food...hmm? Misc $200-300.
I'll be there wed-tues for the first time, with very few french words...I heard the call-outs are in french?

I hear ProGym in Montreal is MASSIVE and has a buffet attached?
Also any good locations for a photoshoot?
...so many questions and all I am gonna hear is F r E n C h...better get back to my homework!!!
LESS THAN A WEEK TO GO-THEN WE FEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:goodluck:yeah:fwave:a+:beer
That was a great thing he did. Will you be staying in a hotel in Laval or on the island of Montreal?
Yes Progym is massive! its over 70,000sqft of equipment only, no swimming pool, tennis court or what ever, just traning equipment.
There is a place to eat but its not a buffet, just a small place were you can get something healthy to chew on.
For the call out, im pretty sure they do it in french and english.
You're probably close to highway 15 which will take you directly near the show. Some good eats in Laval if you're into restaurants. If you do some shopping in Laval, go to the shopping center on the other side of the 15, it's much bigger and has a food court. Haven't been there in quite some time but there was a burger joint in that shopping center with Triple A beef patties and you can stack them 2-3 high.
Better to go downtown for some shopping around. You are not far from it. Take the subway and leave the rental at the hotel. Downtown is designed kinda cool. Most of the shopping areas you can get to from underground and the subway takes you right into it. It's all interconnected. Good if it's a cold rainy day.
To get to progym from your area, you can grab Sherbrooke or the 720 east (which turns into Notre-Dame). Progym is about the same distance from either road but less red lights on the 720. As for a good place for photoshoots it really would depend on what setting your looking for (and the weather). October is usually cool and overcast so plan accordingly.
For the language thing it's really not that bad. If people know your a tourist, they'll try to help. If you divide the island using highway 15, the more east you go the more French it will be, the more west you go the more English it will be. Downtown is mostly bilingual. Laval is mixed but a bit predominatly french in the vacinity of the show. There are areas which are more english in Laval. At the show you should have no problems. Most will be bilingual so you'll be able to communicate with just about everyone.
Also at Progym you may run into some former Mr. Canada's and IFBB Pro's.
Mark St. Arnaud from BC will be doing the show also. Just added him to the list.
You'll do fine, Montreal is pretty much bilingual and they'll try to serve you in your language. Last time I went on St-Catherines, I only heard english people. Or better yet, drag Loutfi with you, he's french. :p
Easy to locate Pro-Gym, it's literally 2 minutes from the Olympic Stadium which could be a cool place for a photoshoot. I usually use www.tripadvisor.com for advice on Restaurant/Things-to-do. Very helpful.
Bonne chance à vous tous mes ami(e)s, vous allez apprécier une des villes les plus appréciée au monde.
Sucks.. just ffricken sucks
ill be dietting AND trying to get my lifts in..
i really wanna be competing

Maybe some of the locals let us know about the good places to go :)
A. I hear a steve charbonneau from brockville is competing
B. Who will be covering this..MD or anyone with prejudging photos?? Something!!?? Or is this mickyfackinmouse
MCDONALDS and wake up looking spectacular for photoshoot
Probably pizza and pie. Is there an official after party place? Anything even open 11pm on a sunday night?
Anyone!? Does anyone know if there will be coverage of this event?? PICS and such..
Probably MD, RX and MI will cover the show in terms of pics.
Discussion usually here and facebook.
Hmmm...good point. Falls on an weird day this year. Downtown will be your safest bet for clubs being open on a Sunday night. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they will be open since Monday is a holiday.
I haven't heard of an official after party place (yet) but someone with connections to clubs that would accommodate would be a savior here. Imagine the faces of the bouncers at a random club if 80 muscle heads bigger than them walk in..lol
jerome bravo at 280 one week out

Does he look better on the computer? Looked soft on my phone..huge tho!
Dang. He's got bowling balls on his shoulders. This year is very hard to predict the new IFBB Pro's. Anyone want to take a stab at guessing. For men the guys that I know are dangerous; Antoine Vaillant (if he comes in the same condition as the Arnold's or better), Jerome, Marlon, Hassan with that last vid he put up, Loutfi last years winner, curious to see how his conditioning is going to be like. Renaldo Gairy is always dangerous and Ted Trush is banging away with untold months of dieting to get ready for this show. He's as hungry as they come. Ram Gill being trained by a respected vet here has got a shot at this too. Andrew Dudka comes in near perfect condition all the time. Will be interesting to see what package he brings this time.
Then we got so many new comers with tons of potential that I haven't seen any updated pics recently. Tim Love being trained by Lou Joseph is looking great, Danny Garon will step on the National stage for the first time. Interesting to see how he will look beside the other competitors. Matt Tavolieri has been quite of late so don't know how he's doing but it'll be his first national show. Wish him luck. Leo Difruscia making a showing after a number of years off. No clue what he looks like but he's a respected trainer so he knows what he's doing. Dave Mitchell making his first showing too I believe, he has great genetics. Can't confirm if John Aiello will be there but he'd be a force if he shows up. Another one with crazy genetics. Jerry Poirier will be defending his Classic Tall title. Good luck Jerry. Not taking anything away from the other competitors that will be at the show. These are the ones I know mostly through word of mouth, pics, physical presence and stuff put on CBB or facebook so I can comment on them.
As for the ladies, of course Fabiola will be a contender for that pro card as she came very close last year. Anyone being trained by Helen Bouchard will be dangerous too as she produces what I call dark horses. You don't hear much about them and all of a sudden they come out and bang...walk away with a win and/or a pro card. And not to confuse this with any politics (like what happened last year here) I believe it is the condition of the athlete that produces the win. Not the name of who trained her. Wendy McMaster has the most muscle I've seen on woman in a long time. A lot of guys would be envious of her arms. Dawn Alison is looking sick muscular, good to see Carmen Tocheniuk back. Have no clue how she looks like at the moment. Lisa Giesbrecht from BC reminds me a bit of Zoa Linsey and we all know Zoa is now an IFBB Pro. Tough call this year. No clear winner before going into the show. But I'd be interested to see if someone could forecast a winner.
martin allard will get th master pro card
he' like 175 or something so wide , he' look super heavy
a one who should b great , marko zaborak , first light heavy last year, thickness of a tank , if that guy come at 210 full condition at 5'6 lol
jerome should win this , he look ridiculous , even me i fell like a kid close to him
I sure hope so, all three ladies you mention do have nice structure and are very balanced.
At this point Nancy is already lower that what she weighed in at the Provincials and we're very happy that means she will be even more conditioned and she even brought up some areas that we thought needed to be since her last show too.
We are all pretty excited. I fly in Friday morning and will meet with Nancy and Ram see how things are. Razorsedge was kind enough to pay for my flight to Montreal and Ram booked the hotel rooms of all of us so we're all side by side during our stay.
nope.. i can have salad and fish or chicken tho!! lol mmmm
No competitors from SK?
Hey there dryvrgrl...haven't been on in a bit...hiding out in NS training out here to get away from the gawkers..lol..u better look us up and have a visit...and don't go throwin us in the pool with some of these vets u guys..we're goin in there with our eyes wide open..we'll compete hard and make some noise and let's leave it at that but thanks for talkin about us..lol. Watch out for Rammer on the guys side tho..saw his latest pics..yikes!!
The Official restaurant is the Baton Rouge Restaurant & Bar. It's near the host hotel.
You can read the info here at this web site. It's got everything on there.
