well couple days into prep and what happens?
up all night with a urinary tract infection in excruciating pain
at 1am thought i can't take it anymore
woke hubby up and said "i'm taking myself to Emergency"
got dressed and of course had to go,
actually try to go to bathroom on way out of door
and on sitting on toilet thinkin…
"1 am i'll be in the hospital at least 6 hrs,
but then the clinic will be almost open,
and whats hard is most of the time you are sitting on toilet trying to pee,
and eeeek the toilets in hospital emergency wards
and if i'm in emerg by myself and i'm in the bathroom and don't hear my name called
then i'll be there even longer"
so decided to tough it out
had hot bath
wrapped myself up in lots clothes, took some Codiene painkillers,
and finally passed out from sheer exhastion somewhere after 2am
got a few hrs sleep then up to clinic got antibiotics....
my online client who's prepping for BC's Tony Tomra texted me
he came down with flu day before and still wrecked
i told him what i was going thru
and he's like "theres always something going on"
and i'm like "yep there's ALWAYS something !
and he said this which i love...
"Isn't that what half of meet/contest prep is.....
battling the obstacles that get thrown in our way.
and he's sooooooooo right
there's always something
and you can either succumb to the road blocks
or you can pick yourself up, dust yourself off and GO AGAIN....
and what alot of people don't get is...
it's ALWAYS FUKCING HARD, AND IT ALWAYS WILL BE HARD
there's no perfect time, theres no good time
there's always shit coming down the pipeline
life throws curve balls at you
PERFECT EXAMPLE.... TEAM Fit Body's Sherri (the WARRIOR) Tappert
during her prep for this upcoming Kelowna show gets diagnosed with cervical cancer
NOW THATS A CURVE BALL LADIES AND GENTLEMAN
freaks, cries, goes thru the gaumet of emotions and YEAH ****ED UP ON HER DIET AND MISSED SOME WORKOUTS
but she had surgery, took necessary bit of time off, but lucky her surgeon had a sis that had competed so understood
and told her to go ahead and she how she felt
and guess what ?
yep she's on the road to recovery, doc says everything looks good, AND THE WARRIOR MARCHES ON TO HER SHOW
